  1. The ones that pay their own way without begging.
  2. A broken "fan belt" isn't such an issue these days with electric radiator fans and different drive belt for the water pump. You'll lose your alternator, air conditioning and power steering. Not like the good old days when the fan belt literally drove everything.
  3. Glasses, hearing aids, folding walking stick, asthma puffer, gout pills, diarrhoea tablets, Voltaren.... Must be getting old.
  4. Sliding doors.
  5. New York or London would be much safer.
  6. You could suggest "The King and I" or "Bridge on the River Kwai", one and two.
  7. Confirmation bias is rampant world wide. Many a serial killer got away for so long by blending into society while they were looking at the wrong person.
  8. What the hell has happened to our forum? The OP was painful enough, I can't even bring myself to reading the replies.
  9. I'd love an ice cold Kilkenny or John Smith draft off the tap in a chilled glass. But, I'll just have to settle for what's available. A luke warm Chang in a cracked plastic cup with a fist full of ice.
  10. There was more than one confused emoji. Actually the entire thread was full of confused emojis, including my own. That's what happens when you get old lol. No-one understands you, I'm getting used to it. Did I mention that I'm also the "thread killer"? 2 comments by SiPi and everyone loses interest. 🙄
  11. I edit everything, because Spellcheck is always 3 steps ahead of me and puts the wrong words out. Spellcheck is my worst enima. Edit... I spelt "Spellcheck" wrong.
  12. The closest I've seen to the real Isaan are Nepalese, in appearance anyway. Could this be something, or am I imagining things?
  13. I heard he died in a car crash. But then again, so did the Paul McCartney impersonator. We've gone a full circle.
  14. I got the confused emoji for saying I like Paul McCartney, amongst other things. I'm not sure what's so confusing about liking Paul McCartney. I guess some people are easily confused.
  15. It was more entertaining in the day. Instead of saying "I'm getting sloshed", Costas would give a running commentary as he was lining his empty Chang bottles up, giving each one a name. Just one fine example.
  16. Sun dried broad beans. I can't stop.
  17. I disagree.
  18. Luke warm Chang tipped into a stained plastic cup full of ice. When in Rome....
  19. Maybe you're psychic. Track down your friend and ask her if she has 2 dongs.
  20. Go with the flow. Have a bit of fun.
  21. Any place can be an adventure. Nothing wrong with exploring the off trodden path.
  22. Singapore is always fun, but bleeding expensive.
  23. I haven't flown there in 40 years, sorry. But I do recall the Bangkok to Kathmandu flight as one of my favourites over the decades. Pokhara and the Annapurna region is one place I'd love to revisit.
