Aussie Arrested in Pattaya for Mafia Ties and Multiple Offences
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Maybe Mr Grey should be banned from being able to live and stay in Thailand. Does Australia want him back for some valuable jail time, perhaps? -
German Tourist's Fatal Fall at Pattaya Hotel Shocks Visitors
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
If a low balcony railing exists, then all everyone has to do is be careful if they are out on their balcony. I stayed at a hotel in Bangkok with a 2 meter cement wall on the balcony, because some poor young women were falling from the hotel to their deaths so the wall was built. My view was not good but I went to the fire escape at eh hotels end to get swome photos of the area. -
Should Hamas's Bloody Bet be Rewarded by the World?
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Who helped Hamas build all those tunnels? I think that a lot of Palistines were involved with this tunnel building and therefore have blood on their hands for supporting hamas. IMO of course. Hamas leadership does not even live in any part of the Palistine ares so i think of Hamas as a foreign terrorist group. It was Hamas on Oct 7th who killed and raped and took hostages. It would be nice if everyone remembers this fact. -

Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
The women were shocked by electricity. That would be the correct way todescrib3e what happened. This is Thailand though, so English translation is difficule, you know. IMO Harvey -

One dead, 30 injured in Singapore Airlines emergency landing
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
A Clear Air Turbulant is not visible, so any aircraft can go through these turbulance, and there is not warning. That is why the pilots did not get any warning them selves. keep your seat belt fastened for the whole flight, you can loosen it a bit, but never take it off entirely. That has been my advice to my friends for years. -
One dead, 30 injured in Singapore Airlines emergency landing
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I always have my seat belt buckled during my flights, unless i am up to go to the bathroom. People who take their seat belts off in flight, are foolish. maybe this incident will make a few more better educated, that CAtS or Clear Air Turbulance can happen at any time. I did work at an airport for my whole career, so I guess i was a bit more aware and more cautious, because of my job. Not retired, I am still cautious. -

Stargeezr replied to george's topic in Isaan News
There should at least be jail time for this guy. Will that happen? I doubt it as he is in a power position in the school system. and This Is Thailand. -

British family leaves UK for Thailand for lower costs of living
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am wondering if Cece is a UK born partner, or from Thailand originally, if that is the case they may do all right. Good luck to them, as if they get homesick, they better keep at least enough money to get back to the UK with their belongings. Another factor to consider is the hot weather, wet weather, and humid weather if near the ocean, or smog, or air pollution in Bangkok and the north half of Thailand some days. There are tropical diseases to consider as well, dengue, malaryia , and many others. They are young, so good luck for sure, I am a bit jealous. 555 -
British Tourist Injured in Gang Attack on Bangla Road, Patong
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Most tourists are in bed asleep at 4 AM. It is likely that this Brit guy was not sober as well and that is the time to be more friendly and polite. It could have been a bit worse, he could have been shot. i learned long ago to never get very drunk on my holiday to Thailand. I hope this guy learned that lesson as well. -

US Teen with Heart Condition Dies After Spicy Tortilla Chip Challenge
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I have been cautious about food all my life, as I have always had a sensitive stomache. Since my 40s I have not been able to eat spicy food like I could in my 20s. Now in my 70s, I do not have any desire to try many types of food that I do not eat daily. -

Only 44 years for this murder, plus another attempted murder. Maybe the UK should still have a death sentence for these kinds of first degree murderers. In My Opinion anyway.

Chiang Mai police invoke 10pm curfew after samurai gang rampage
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Maybe the police force had to alert the rich people, and those with extreme power so they could send their teens out of the country. Don't you know Thail logic yet? THis is only my guess, as the powerful people of Thailand do not want any more eggs on their faces than they already have. That is my version of Thai logic. -

Thai Navy Agrees to Install Chinese Engine in Its New Submarine
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I thought that the gulf of Thailand was so shallow that a submarine could not dive very deep anyway. I am glad to hear that the sub will get an engine, as those oarsmen must get very very tired. 555 -
At least in Thailand the term lady boy is still mentioned, in Canada that would be an insult to the Alphabet people of the 2SLGBTQ++ crowd. I guess Ladyboy and Trans person is about equal. It is all confusing to me as I am an old senior, wo is getting more forgetful every day. I think the 70s for age is entering the golden age, or getting close. 555

Royal Thai Air Force Pilot Dodges Festival Rocket in Close Call
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
billd766, you have forgotten that you are in Thailand, the wild wild east. Do you actually think that any airport officials are told about these festivals in advance? Maybe some remember to let them know, but i bet a lot of these rockets are launched on a whim. This Is Thailand. -
Rats on the rampage: Infestations hit Pattaya beaches
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I seen many rats along the BTS system in Bangkok. Did some of them catch a ride to Pattaya? Maybe the tropical countries are enjoyed by rats as well as cats, dogs and the other animals as well. -
Foreigners Detained for Illegal Daycare on Koh Pha Ngan
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Baby sitting and charging for the service is a Thai person job, and us tourists are not supposed to baby sit any children except our own. That is a fairly simple concept, is it not? Common Sense is not that common these days. IMO
