I hope the drunk gets lots of jail time and fined as well. -
Bangok condo owner’s 120,000 baht bill for trashed rental - video
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
For some posters, if you look close, the people living under bridges are called homeless. It is not like they like living there, but do not have money to live anywhere else. Some of you expats should really consider yourselves lucky to have enough money to live in Thailand. Maybe some of you posters are bots, that have never even been to Thailand. -
Blowback begins about latest visa exemptions and DTV discretion
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Unless a majority of tourists are crooks and criminals, like the overstayers are, I would assume that most tourists are honest people on holidays. Just as i assume that most expats living in Thailand are honest people, I try to think positive about other people. i also leave my 2 pieces of jewelry at my home in a safe, when i travel abroad. -
Russian Man Arrested in Thailand After 1,599 Days Overstay
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
I hope he gets maximum jail time, and fine, then deported to Russia. Of course once he arrives there he will likely be able to get his permission to go back to Canada. I guess that would depend on his status in Russia. -
Phuket Sees Surge in Tourist Arrivals This August
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Being that August is Summer in the northern hemisphere, yes it is low tourist season. Aside from Australia and some near by countries from the southern half of the world, I wonder how many tourists go to Thailand from South America to escapt their Winter season? -
British Tourist Assaulted and Robbed on Bangla Road in Patong
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
If this 62 year old man would have read about Thailand before his visit, he would certainly been smart enough to leave his jewelry at home. Being rich, does not mean being smart. Maybe now he will have enough intelligence to leave the rest of his jewelry at home. -
Thai hotels face 111 million baht loss after FTI Group collapse

Oh is Germany having financial problems? If so how is the reast of Europe doing? -
Well! At least they cannot blame this on us puny humans. In Canada the climate alrmists like to blame everything they can on us humans and our effect on CO2 in the atmosphere, which is less than one half of one percent of the atmosphere by the way. Oh and methane that Europe is all upset about is a trace gas. The cows can safely fart and burb all they want to.

Pattaya rebranding as family-friendly destination to boost tourism
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Yes South Pattaya or as I call it, Jomtien Beach, is family friendly. The beach is great as long as you only wade into the sea to your knee deep water area. The night market has some good deals and okay food as well, and the beer prices are reasonable. My cousin live there and that helps me a lot as well. -
It was not just Hamas that built those tunnels in Gaza City, it was a bunch of other people living there as well. Hamas has to get out of Gaza and go live with their leader. Same goes for the West Bank, if there are any Hamas members there, they have to leave. That is my opinion, and 2 cents worth of raving.

Human-Induced Climate Change Creates Olympic "Heat Dome" Crisis
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Is a climateoligist actually a real scientist? I have my doubts, and i would like an actual scientist to explain how the earth with its many volcanoes can also be warming up our planet. as well as natural causes like El Nino and La Nina, changing the ocean current patterns that affect the Climate. Look at this graph and explaine how CO2 which is less than one half of one percent of the atmosphere and methane, a trace gas is causing everything that the climate alarmists are saying. There are people who think that we have a large percentage of carbon dioxide and other gasses in the atmosphere, and that simply is not the case. -
Remember when this time of year was considerred Low Tourist Season, as the Norther Hemisphere is in Summer when the temperatures and weather is mild and most people have children who go to school, so they stay in their own countries. I wonder if TAT and most people are not aware of this. I guess the Aussies and other southern hemisphere people may want to escape the cool to cold weather of their Winter. As some posters say, maybe there are too many restaurants getting opened when the demand is not high.

Human-Induced Climate Change Creates Olympic "Heat Dome" Crisis
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
How about thoses volcanoes that bring super heated magma to the surface of the earth from the hot mantle just under the crust? I sure would appreciate a few scientists letting us all know if the world is heating itself up again. I am sick of the climate alarmists who would like to only blame humans for the hot weather. Remember La Nina, and El Nino? Oh and CO2 is less than one half of one percent of the atmosphere, and methane is a trace gas. if you do not believe me, google it. Do not believe everything the Media likes to have you believe. -
Buriram Woman Loses 530,000 Baht in Baffling Bank Transfers
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Never do banking with yur cell phone. It is a cell phone, and should be used as such. If you are so lazy that you ue your phone for banking, then you deserve to get hacked and used. Convenience is not the reason to go so modern that you become careless. That is my opinion, and why I am staying old school and use atms and banks for my money issues. -
Elderly Man Dies in Phuket after Falling from Bike

Battling severe alcoholizsm? Riding a bike? I think this guy needed at least 3 wheels. Well now he won't. Seems like his fainting issue did not help his situation. -

Thai Language Seen as Vital National Symbol, Survey Shows
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I had a Thai fellow tell me go go go then turn left. What he meant was go 3 blocks then turn left. i would say that is typical of directions given in Thailand. My Thai relatives have all managed to get a pretty good education, and they had to pay for it as well. There are some schools in Thailand that are better than other schools, same for univerities. Most countries in the world also have poor people who cannot afford to get great education. Thailand is not alone with this problem. Then there are countries at war, where it is impossible to get educated. Be happy that you live in a peaceful country. IMO
