Well Thailand does not have a carbon tax like Canada, where every litre of Gasoline, or petrol sosts more. I think that all countries sould do a better effort of desposing plastic waste better. The top 5 countries that spew CO2 into the atmosphere should be paying more for doing that. Russia, China, India ME, even USA, should be on this list.

I seen a drunk fall from a baht bus in Pattaya, and lucky for him he only bruised his ego. He got up and stumbled into a near by bar. I guess this Hong Kong guy was not as lucky. I like the baht buses, very effective and low costi I just try not to get that drunk, and so far so good.

It is good to see that tourism in Thailand is important and brings in a lot of money to the country. There are some countries in the world, who wish they had a good steady tourist dollar helping out.

Yesw, the earth is warming itself up. all those volcanoes, are heat from beneath the crust bringing up the hotter mantel to heat up the oceans and atmosphere. For you well off expats, try remember that Thais also rip off other Thais, and most of them do not have your size of incomes. I am lucky that my Thai relatives mostly have good jobs, or work long hours at a small market to feed them selves and they all have either small houses, town hiomes, or mya oldest brother in law, has rented a town house apartment for years. I only have 4 rich Thai relatives, that make almost as much money as the bulk of yur expat posters that can afford to live in Thailand year round. Food for thought. Harvey.

Still kicking is forgetting that Thailand is not his home country. Thailand is in Asia, you have to be more aware and careful. That is how you survive your time in Asia and other parts of the world.

I have met tourists from all over who do not read up on the country they are visiting. They can be quite ignorant and especially if they do not keep their cool and not start shouting and arguing about prices and saying it is better in their home cuntry. i usually just chuckle, but a few times i say, well if you buy it at your home, you can save room in your suitcase, good luck with the price though. I seen one guy who would tousle a childs hair, and i asked him why he was doing that, the parents were not happy, and I told him of the Thai custom. It only takes a small amount of time to read about customs to make yourself a better more understanding tourist, no matter where you come from. IMO

I have seen many foolish people take their seat belts off after getting to altitude, and even take their shoes off shortly after departure. if I have left my seat to go to the bathroom, that is the only time my seat belt is off. In flight I loosen it a bit, but it is plain foolish to have the belt completely off.

I found that if I wanted a drink between 2 PM to 5PM I went to a bar, and bouhgt a beer or two. Problem solved. You know that expats could do that as well if they need a drink during those times. in My Opinion, as a tourist.
