Seems the pudgy little acting PM has now walked back his words on 35 Thb to $1 Usd. Sometimes it amazes me how folks in this Government or in one of the ministries just opens up their piehole and spouts nonsense because it makes them feel better without realzing the extent of the comment and how it is perceived.....but it is not only here, and yes my the same can be said for my comments and posts herein this forum..

Wel he messed up royally by announcing his conscription plans. Within just a few hours all flights out of Russia were booked and seats were going for over $9k USD........not many people want this war to continue in Putins own country. Over 1k protestors were also arrested. Sounds like it will get uglier as time goes on.

You left out those dreary cold foggy days. On a visit to London in 2006 I couldn't see most of the streets in front of me or behind me. I decided to hit up the Big Wheel known as the London Eye to see if I could see over the fog, but nope not even then, of course it was late winter....never returned to see it again. The best part of the trip was going to Dublin Ireland and visiting the Guinness Factory......

Many is a subjective word, could be a few for some or a long time. You sure do like to bristle when some one does not do as you see they should. Life is what you make of it, if you think you can enjoy playing the 2 week millionaire the rest of your life, with one night stands and that does it for you then you are free to follow your dreams. I just hope one day we do not read here about a old foreigner dying while in the sack with a young lady and that old foreigner being you. That may be how people wish to go out but it is never good for the family they have abandoned in search of their own pleasures. Life is about more than just you as a person. Happiness is about how you adapt and enjoy what you have. To each there own, and then to those who make comments such as yours I quoted, you truly have no true knowledge of the way life works and read to many periodicals or watch to many YouTube videos which tell you where to travel to and what you need to look for. Travel to places never visited by others and make your own choices, not the choices others tell you to make.

You must not be planning on living to a ripe old age and using all of the funds available. I have shares and items in place for my kids already. The rest is for me to spend and enjoy, why be a cheap charlie and stay in a cheap room, and eat cheap street food while shopping at 7-11 for your drinks and then sit in a bar all day. A home is where you can truly relax, make your own food, entertain friends and family and then listen to silence instead of the noise surrounding your rented condo near the nightlife.

Ah one who likes the shared rooms and shared women, in the end it costs you more if you do that for 30 years....

Why live in the west if you can afford a nice humble abode here in Thailand. If I could own a place in the North as well as the one in BKK and HH, I would, then I would also pick one up down in the north of Phuket as well. 1 week in each every month.....ah the freedom to choose. Of course if I needed to go back to the west then I can do that as well having a few homes there, would just need to evict a renter is all......

As of this moment the USD is marching on and the Baht loosing ground Watching TNN 16 now and they are discussing how foolish Prawits demand to drop the exchange rate to 35 Thb per $1. It would seem that now all eyes from the west will be turned towards Thailand to see if this manipulation will occur based on this new deatil. Waiting to see if it is picked up in the international business news.

I wonder how Thailand and others would fare if they also raised rates like the US Fed is doing to control it's runaway inflation. in the US life sure is interesting, but here in the LOS, well its comical. Prawit....well his proposal is nothing short of true currency manipulation, unless he meant it to be done by raising interest rates here, which would kill the country on a larger scale. I forsee another meltdown occurring....
