Escape attempt from Bangkok Criminal Court foiled

Yes, defecating feces from eating prison food should have given him enough cover to escape. -
Chonburi Cancels New Year Countdown Celebration

Yeah not so sure it's to show deference to that someone, but that's my view after reading a few articles. -
Chonburi Cancels New Year Countdown Celebration

Really? So by not giving food and alms to monks what's the reason then if not a concern regarding Covid. -
Again that's your view and not those of others based upon what's been stated by a Deputy health minister and the Minister of the interior which I posted above. Just let it go, if you can. Recommendations for mask wearing are still being made. People attending New Years eve and Christmas events in BKK are also being asked to wear masks. Try and keep your personal feelings about mask wearing by folks stifled. If a business or entity decides masks are to be worn who are you to tell them they can not. Do as you wish.

Try again. It wasn't just a deputy Health minister but also the Interior Ministry. Nothing has changed. Still recommended. You just have to keep acting like the school yard bully don't you. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40017023 People need to be aware that the pandemic has not ended, and that facemasks still provide protection,” Interior Ministry’s permanent-secretary Suttipong Juljarern said on Friday.

So if you owned your own shop and had the age old sign on the wall which stated " No, Shirt, No Shoes, NO Service" you wouldn't kick a customer out or not give them service if they failed to follow your rules....tell me you don't have a double standard without telling me you don't have a double standard.....

Over supply of condos and smaller houses maybe, but the mini McMansions are few and far between. The owner was not Thai and the buyers are from Switzerland. The reasons it sat was it needed to be painted, the wood trim needed to be re-sealed, and a few other items updated. That's one reason he upped the price and also why it sold fairly quickly afterward. Curb appeal means more than a little to folks, plus it has a large pool and half wrap around porch on the lower floor and the upper floor. Gated Moo Ban with great common Area upkeep and not far from the ocean. Retirement Area with great restaurants and resources not far away. Sure it's a 3 hour drive from Bangkok but then the weather and here are great year around.

House near us was at 18.2 MThb in July. December 1st the owner raised the price to 19.9 MThb. Before the price was raised they had no one look at for the 5 months it was on the market at the lower price. Since then there have been many viewings. Yesterday they accepted an offer for 19.5 MThb. Prices are going up. Of course it's now high season and folks with money from overseas are getting ready for retirement. The Southern Hua Hin area near Pranburi is growing.

In a 2 year period my 800k made a measely 6,565 Thb. Since I now have the LTR Visa and no need for the account it sat in, and yes I checked on a new rate which was less than 1%, I closed the account and repatriated the funds back into a HYS Account making 4.5% interest in the US. Unless one is Thai you can not be given access to the better rates here, well maybe with a work permit.

PayPal no longer available to foreigners in Thailand
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I use my PayPal account as normal, my kids pay me monthly for their portion of the cellular phone bill in the US and I buy items on-line using my paypal account. Of course I leave the money in my paypal account for my use in buying items. Yet, I have not seen a change from what it was before. Of course thats my view. I did receive a warning e-mail indicating that anything over 600 USD was reportable to the IRS but no changes to my account. -
If you do not count the unemployed, and then count the stimulus measures in as far as giving people money to help the economy, are you really assisting the inflation downward or is it still the same and climbing. Why raise energy rates, why raise gas prices, well the costs are increasing and no inflation is not dropping....blind leading the blind here. BTW how are 10 million tourists, very few of which are using USD assisting the baht in staying so strong against the USD?
