Balancing act with a second family member having heart issues, a sunken Naval Ship with many dead and missing, upcoming elections, the backpeddaling on the cannabis law which tourists were coming for, and then the current immigration crackdowns on overstayers and Chinese triads, would that make the Thai people fragile at this time of year?, or is it economy related, or is there something very somber they are expecting to hear which makes celebrating the New Year unimportant? All things which are questions unto there own and in my view not things where celebrating the end of 2022 and moving forward should not be celebrated.

No Idea really. I had an SCB account when I first arrived in Thailand 20 years ago. Kept it until 4 years ago and because of issues I was having with the banks app for both phone and computer I switched. The K-Bank phone app is fantastic and I use it for paying bills, topping up my True Money account, etc...I also use it to take out money from the ATM as no card is needed. Just my preference.

The Letter, your passport which shows the Visa, and your cash. Just ensure you have the info explaining the LTR visa if asked. I just changed my address and closed my Fixed deposit account with K-bank and transferred the money to my other K-vank account t. All they wanted was my PP and my new houses Blue book. If you have a lease, take a copy with you for the address information.

Your fighting a loosing battle. The bus company can do what it deems necessary. Not your decision to run the show as you seem fit to do. Yet you will throw a fit and act like a child in order to get your way and make a point. I have watched Thai parents, when their kids pull that feces, just walk away and leave them in the aisle while they, the parents, walked away and ignored them much like your going to be ignored. Your right to play the simpleton however.

True TAT has not canceled them, just the locations where they were going to be held have, like the Chonburi countdown, the Pattaya Fireworks, and Khao San Roads countdown. Many say it's not a time to celebrate because of a fragile Thai mood, but does anyone have any idea what they are alluding to or is it a smokescreen cover because of not having money for putting those celebrations together, a certain major incident involving the Navy, the health concerns for someone in the hospital of high importance or because of the always present elephant in the room, the virus. News this morning shows cases rising and hospitals becoming full again in China and China allowing travel......

Trump was after all a big talker who never really followed through with actions. The National guard and fencing came after the attack. If Trump believed an attack was immi ent he could have made a televised response telling everyone inclufing his gang of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers to steer clear of the congressional house and senate, but he did not. During the riot he never once did anything presidential to stop the rampaging group. In fact he tweeted his support for hanging Pence......not something anyone in a Presidential position should have ever done to his own VP. That in itself shows his disregard for democracy. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.politico.com/amp/news/2022/05/25/trump-expressed-support-hanging-pence-capitol-riot-jan-6-00035117&ved=2ahUKEwjZsd2jxpT8AhXJAjQIHVGKCMMQFnoECBAQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3ra21WfUWZN3n4qwwLk3Vd

More of an issue at hand right now, and in a country itching to open, and whom Thailand expects visitors from is this report which is pretty alarming. Not sure how this plays into the New Years count down closures but Thailand as much as they say they are open for business is concerned about something. Is it the optics of the sunken Navy Frigate combined with someone's health, the PMs decision to switch parties or what is it that has caused the fragility as discussed in a news piece we can post from. https://amp-cnn-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/12/23/china/china-covid-infections-250-million-intl-hnk/index.html?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=16719555335864&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F2022%2F12%2F23%2Fchina%2Fchina-covid-infections-250-million-intl-hnk%2Findex.html Hong Kong(CNN): Almost 250 million people in China may have caught Covid-19 in the first 20 days of December, according to an internal estimate from the nation's top health officials, Bloomberg News and the Financial Times reported Friday. If correct, the estimate -- which CNN cannot independently confirm -- would account for roughly 18% of China's 1.4 billion people and represent the largest Covid-19 outbreak to date globally.

You still believe that? Pattaya Fire works canceled, Chonburi shutting some things and now Khao San Road closing down the new years count down event. It can not be because of deferring for a specific individual I am afraid. Whatever the BP article alludes to as a Thai Fragile mood is to be what the root cause is. To me that's the possibility of a 2020 replay from certain events. Tell me please how the health concerns of one person could cause the whole country to stop certain events and decorations.
