So the U.S. elected an autocrat -- what to expect next from a Hungarian perspective
Thanks a bunch for your reference to idiocy. Have a nice day.

Do you choose where things go in your house?
No. Where things go is by mutual agreement. Maybe you need to get a grip and assert yourself a bit more ?

.....and your point is ?

Trump and his followers.
That's what my teachers said about me. At 83 I appear, however, to have not done too badly in life...

Trump's first term was no worse than most others, and better than many. I doubt that you have the inside knowledge, to which you lay claim, on what his second term will be like. Let's wait and see how things go before passing judgement.

Getting Old: Stoic About It or Endless Whinger?
83 years old 3 days ago.Happy to be in Thailand, with my Thai wife, in old age. She is 68. We were married in Taiwan in 1990, and above all else we are very good friends. I have told her if and when I get sick do not put me into a hospital, just make me as comfortable as possible at home until I expire. I guess I could be called stoic. I find enough in each day to keep me interested and involved with what is going on around me.

Reportedly no involvement whatsoever. Were you not here at that time ?

Thaksin Shinawatra Covered His Entire 6-Month Hospital Cost
I repeat, again and for the last time, more than 2000 dead (I believe the actual number was 2800) of whom at least half (more than 1400) were reportedly entirely innocent of any crime.

Thai monk attacked outside Channel 8 TV station in Bangkok (video)
It will be interesting to learn of the motive behind this attack. It will not have occurred for no reason.

Thaksin Shinawatra Covered His Entire 6-Month Hospital Cost
More than half according to news reports at the time.

Thaksin Shinawatra Covered His Entire 6-Month Hospital Cost
To think that this is the guy whose 'war on drugs' when he was in office resulted in more than 2000 deaths the majority of which were entirely innocent. He should have been locked up for life years ago.

Chaos at Don Mueang Airport as Singaporean Suspect Arrested for Bomb Threat
Disgusting behaviour by a despicable idiot. Give him 10 years minimum in a Thai jail before deporting.

Biden Administration Implements Looser Immigration Policies Ahead of Transition to Trump
Nonsensical comment. With allowing Ukraine to bomb Russia, and the further loosening of immigration controls, it is the Dems who are deliberately, and disgracefully, leaving a mess for the Republicans to deal with. Treachery, to say the least.

Climate Talks in Turmoil Over Fossil Fuel Debate and Financial Commitments
Starmer, the UK prime minister, apparently took 479 delegates with him, by air, to this conference. Hard to believe, but that is what is being reported.

Trump's Storm Looms Over the ICC
In 1950 Gen. MacArthur asked Washington for over 30 atomic bombs with which to nuke North Korea and most of China. He was refused.

Trump's Storm Looms Over the ICC
Your opinion, most definitely not mine.

Trump's Storm Looms Over the ICC
As a Brit I find it hard to believe that Starmer agreed with the ICC's move against our ally Israel. This must be a mistake.

Called at the Chonburi Taxation office
Be aware that there are those amongst us who are pushing tax issues in order to feather their own nest.

Called at the Chonburi Taxation office
Very well said.

Gop Speaker places a ban in the Capitol restrooms…
Maybe there needs to be a third category of convenience. Ladies. Gents, and Mixed (or some such).

Anyone ever taken anti anxiety meds in Thailand?
Since childhood I have never slept more than 3/4 hours per night. A few years ago I decided to try get more rest, went to my Thai doctor, and was prescribed the sedative Lorazepam. Worked ok, but I became concerned that I had become addicted. I stopped the prescription and then faced a nightmare of several months of severe withdrawal symptoms. Eventually got through that and now, having just turned 83, I have managed to talk myself into accepting my limited sleep syndrome. I would never again want to suffer the withdrawal process.
