    Yabba, ie crystal meth mixed with additives, is indeed a scourge, especially, but not exclusively, in Isaan. It is a stimulant that results in extreme aggression, doubly so if combined with alcohol. It is cheap and readily available. The police should be incentivised to be more active in helping to control it's use. A further thought, if users can't exist without some form of restorative cannabis would be a much less harmful alternative.

    Now 83. In many ways I am happier than I have ever been. Of course, at my age, I am acutely aware that my eventual demise looms closer. However I am lucky to have married a lovely Thai wife 4O years ago, and we are still happy together. My advice would be to try not to dwell on mortality, and make the best possible of whatever each day brings.

    It depends on personal circumstances. In my case I am a retiree, I will not be travelling outside Thailand, and I am happy to permanently leave whatever amount is required in a dedicated bank account, currently 800k baht. A retirement visa works well for me.

    First arrived in Thailand in 1962 aged 21. Business visits and holidays in Thailand during the 1970s, lived and worked here in the 1980s. Retired to Thailand in 1993. Married to a Thai lady for 40 years. Have a nice day.

    November 19. I made my 90 day report and obtained an annual extension in person at CW. In at 0830 hrs, out at 1030 hrs. No appointment, no agent. Fast, friendly service, no hassle.

    As an ex-smoker I'm not bothered by adults smoking or vaping around me. I do not support bans in general, with the exception of seriously dangerous offences such as murder, rape and theft.
