  1. Well, the fact that they didn't have any toilets in the opening of the airport speaks a lot about how that project was carried out. When the first layouts was published, the first thing I noted was: where the f***k are the toilets? And then they spent years upon years correcting various construction and planning/design problems, including adding toilets.
  2. Been traveling in and out of Swampy, never ever ever happened to me. Strange. Maybe a recent phenomena? I haven't been through Swampy for last couple of years. By the way, for those who react on the name Swampy, we who have been here since before knows:), it refers to the fact it used to be a snake infested swamp before the airport was built there:)

    True vs 3BB

    True vs 3BB

Well, it boils down to the definition of trouble v; how do one say 'www'? Do you say 'we we we'? or is it, like the Thai say it, 'Woorl Wiiee Weeeb'? Some say 'we dot', or is it 'Triple double v'? So that is where 'trouble v' comes from. The right side of the statement is, I have to admit, a bit murky. Yes, I know w is pronounced double u, which is strange in itself. It should have been double v all along, someone long ago indeed had a muddled mind.

    True vs 3BB

I've been curious about other providers than True. I have been using True for many years. It works but speed dropps dramatically the further you get from Thailand. Sometimes using a vpn in some neighboring country (i.e. Singapore) makes the speed better for just about anything, I'm not talking about latency, that would of course increase by distance, but streaming speed. I tried vpn on vpn, example using a vpn in Singapore connecting to a vpn in the USA to watch some show, but apparently most vpn services does not allow this because security concerns. Anyway, I have True home network with the whole package, TV, internet with fiber, a couple of phone numbers, 5G. It works but never lives up to the promised internet speeds when surfing outside Thailand. 5G is working ok, but sometimes randomly shuts down for a minute or so during the day.
  6. When I visit the Beaches I go to those with almost no "Farang" visitors. The beach is usually crowded to the brink with Thais by late afternoon and cars parked everywhere. Almost all Thai's around us drink alcohol. Then by evening you have to be very careful when driving back home, as all Thai drivers from the beach seem to drive like zombies, slowly and in flocks.
  7. maybe they can use the ballon ship they bought to locate the bombs?
  8. That's a thought; not wearing a mask will ensure you get personal space everywhere:)
  9. Maybe that is the same guy in the carpark who ran me over with his car, I asked him; "why you try to kill me?" he just shrugged his boulders and continued on his merry way.
  10. exactly my thought:) Why would you prefer to remove the mask in all those public places??? must be something wrong with the survey questionnaire.
  11. That UK study shows nothing, as you say. It is inconclusive. 1. It deals with children, who are less likely than adults to be severely affected. Also being in classrooms all day long together with other possibly infected students, lessens the effectiveness of masks by a large factor, because of the prolonged possible exposure. My Daughter goes to school and all wear masks in school, despite that, about one student in her class gets tested positive weekly. Me and my wife tested positive about 2 months ago, our children both tested negative, even when one of them had mild symptoms. We did tests every day during the bout, it took about 7 days for me and wife to test negative. We all have vaccinated including booster shot before. 2. Wearing a mask in public spaces has a much greater protective potential because the possible exposures may be very brief, that is where a mask makes a difference.
  12. Certainly, because a Boutique Hotel on South Jomtien that cost 800 Baht about 2 months ago for our family of three, now cost about 1,800 Baht and we have to pay 700 Baht for an extra bed for our Daughter. We thanked them and said no thanks.
