  1. Agreed.... only one anecdotal personal experience - I had a blowout (rear left) in a 4x4 (loaded)... at about 100 kmh.... easy to control and just slowed to a gentle stop... certainly no massive loss of control... Thus: I suspect 'blow-out' is being used in the same manner as 'brake-failure'...
  2. I'm not sure why you think the bike is illegally parked... You were parked (parallel parked I assume) and the bike parked front to the curb and your friend knocked it... ... Entirely her fault IMO (if she knocked the bike, it fell over into the car in front and damaged it). BUT... there is this... Which... would make anyone with a spine back up a little bit and play... the... "I'm not playing that game" game... so that was the right move IMO. Thus.. after the Sons behavior, I don't blame your friend for making everything as awkward for him as possible... Also, for him escalating a simple situation into something ridiculous. Ultimately, the driver of the car you were in is at fault, their insurance should deal with it. But, did the driver have insurance (was her car insured, 1st Class, or just Por-ror-bor / compulsory) ? If 1st Class - the driver should give their insurance details - thats it. Police clearly not interested. If Compulsory insurance (Por-ror-bor), the driver of the other vehicle should make a claim against that insurance (again, thats it). Also (if I'm not mistaken) the motorcycle was parked already and not moving - thus, regardless of how they parked, its not the riders fault... (though it is annoying and irresponsible how they park sometimes). As others have pointed out - as the son of the owner of the car was a d!ck... just ignore them and see if it escalates - not a major deal.
  3. Same here... I've had a 'strange' soft to the touch 'buzz' feel on many occasions when I'm using my MacBook in Thailand (before with and older one and a new one)... I put it down to poor earthing - I don't get the same issue using the same laptop in the UK.
  4. Orchestrated to a T... (Thaksin pun intended).... The Master puppeteer has moved his pieces perfectly... Pushed Sreetha through, knowing his Digital wallet was untenable, illegal and vote buying, he'd be easy to 'oust' and he was. Nudge out the competition, Pita and the house of representatives... And we have a new 'fresh face'.. Wooo !!! - at least its not that vile anti-farang tub of lard, Anutin. Next on the agenda? full pardon for Thaksin himself ?... His aliments will magically have improved and he won't need his 'Dubai Specialist' (Doctor)... and Auntie will be back at the family dinner table soon enough. What left for Thai politicians? to openly call the public a bunch of gullible fools ?... One of the many things Thailand has going for it, is that even in light of such open insult to democracy and the public in general, their apathy is such that the tendency to respond violently is significantly suppressed.... History has shown that serious uprising is dealt with swiftly and in a deadly manner (1976 Thammasat University massacre / 1992 Black May). A populace gets the government it deserves... and it would be amiss of me to highlight how broken our own democratic process are with the Biden debacle proving a perfect example of external puppeteering. I hope this is a refreshing and advantageous step for Thailand, but can't help think that this is just one last dance for a megalomaniac.
  5. I make sure the toilet door lock is malfunctioning… they get stuck in there for hours !!! Truly though, they are great folks & pop over weekly, often staying over at weekends (even though they only live 30mims away)… respectful of my space & great grandparents to my son… I’m quite fond of them. I’m viciously mean to my Mother in law which Father in law finds hilarious… (the usual SiL taking the pish out of MiL)…
  6. Nearly - there are Apps that will send a document to a fax machine - this is sometimes accepted by institutions that ‘require’ a fax due to official regulations. I agree that certified digital certificate on a PDF has a stonger digital footprint that is legally binding in many countries / institutions- but there are others that still will not accept this (at least up until recently / a couple of years ago in my experience - I too found the situation quite ridiculous, but it didn’t matter what I thought, it mattered what I needed to do).
  7. Geez… yes they do !! For example some banks do not accept email for some communications. Thus topic has been done before & there were similar responses to yours who did not recognize that things exist outside of their experience. I for one have been in a couple of situations whereby only a fax was accepted (re-activating an account in Singapore).
  8. It is a common phrase. You out of touch with the world now? Wow such wit. Having seen this since primary school. Had you not been home schooled you'd have identified your own errors and understand the difference between haven't and having.....
  9. Ok... somewhat of a back-peddle for me... I completely agree... We should all be welcoming... Within reason though - If I were to behave terribly in another country I do not expect forging treatment. Equally, I find it unreasonable if I were to be treated poorly simply because I am not native.
  10. Oh gawd.... Always this guy coming out with the most incendiary degree of flukwittery.... I still struggle to believe MalcomB is not a 'placed account' designed to drum up conflict and attention - no one is naturally this stupid, and someone this stupid is usually not as consistently idiotic...
  11. I'm really not sure if you are talking of the Kuwaiti hoons or the Thai Moto-taxi thugs...
  12. You tell us.. If you are not married to a Thai and not living in Thailand, what is your obsession with posting in this forum? I am married to a Thai, and living in Thailand, have done so for over two decades since my early 20's... Does that make my opinion more valid than another posters ?... Given the content some peddle, it most definitely does.... However, other posters often have what I can see to be a better insight into the 'Thailand' they experience as we have all live in different areas and have integrated with different facets and demographics of society so our outlook may differ. Then it could also be argued that for those of us who have lived here too long, we may have done 'too native' and the balance of our perspective has become distorted so an outside perspective is 'levelling'... ... And then there are just the co<kwomble trolls who have recently arrived to this forum within the last 4 months and post really stupid, idiotic and inflammatory responses to stir up whatever is that 'floats their trollish boats'....
  13. Show me a liable house for $1 in Italy ?... one even with running water...
  14. Agreed.... While rental shops completely ignore the laws of only being able to rent out to those with a licence. If the Police were to confiscate the bikes and fining the rental agencies for illegally renting out these bikes - these issues would cease to exist. While the Kuwati's are known for 'ragging' these rental bikes around the streets of Pattaya, their activities are enabled by the inaction of the police and rental shops getting away with being completely unaccountable. ----- One additional points: Were these Kuwaiti's at school in Thailand on a school holiday... Or here during their Kuwaiti Summer school holidays ?
  15. He's like a bungalow with room temperature IQ... in celsius and there's nowt upstairs...
  16. And rightly so too... As with free-speech, the freedom must come with responsibility. In this case freedom to protest must with the responsibility not to cause harm and chaos. These protestors are a nuisance to society and do more harm for any cause they are trying to promote than good. They're as dumb as the extinction rebellion fools, they methods and protests show similar characteristics and equally flawed and brainless logic.
  17. XX Chromosomes equal a woman... What do a XY Chromosomes equal ?... Jingthing pedalling more broken woke bias. In a show of what is either ignorance or blinded bias, he [JT] fails to recognise that this is not a binary man or woman issue - these two women have XY Chromosomes and elevated testosterone giving them an unfair physical advantage. This is of course, very harsh for them, but it is also unfair on all those against whom they compete.
  18. He’s playing the Troll card, you’re playing the idiot card…. SOP for your posts.
  19. IMO - sports stars & actors can use their influence and bias to fit an agenda / rhetoric / bias etc…. Because someone is a famous & amazing actor / footballer / gymnast etc does not mean their influence should be used. It is of course their right to have an opinion, but I don’t think they should be using their fame to influence the political views of others while continuing to perform / compete.
  20. Clearly the fault of the van….
  21. Perhaps join in with the rest of us and laugh at the fools … …it’s healthy to be able to laugh at yourself.
  22. Yet you cared enough to comment… … somewhat of a logic disconnect… Whenever a famous name pops up on this forum, there is always some genius making an utterly irrelevant comment that they don’t know or don’t like said person - as if that point is of the remotest value. BTW: Simone Biles is the most famous gymnast in the world at the moment (& no one cares if you know or care about that either). That said - athletes & stars should keep their influence out of politics.
  23. Marriage !!! But, in the context you refer to, a void on their life, grooming, peer pressure etc
  24. You seem so proud of your ignorance…
  25. How does such ‘bias’ develop? My first thoughts upon reading the news of this atrocity were based purely upon my bias…. My initial thought’s were that “I’d be surprised if this was not an Islamic nut”… … I was wrong of course, but that bias is not unfounded.
