Australian Resort Boss Murdered While at Work in Krabi

Probably true what you say about a bar business. We dont have a bar. Our business has around 35% to 40 % expenses every month. Thats it. -
We purchased a small plot of land 60m x 18.3m. Its kind of a long / narrow block. In the photo of the land, the concrete on the left is a small soi which leads to a dead end (neighbours land- no access at all). On the right side is rice field view. To the left is mountain view We were recently having a beach holiday and I saw a nice house that I might copy. I dont know if its possible but might have the same entry steps with the 3 arches at either end- as depicted on my sketch design. Carport at one end and pool area at the other. I asked the owner of the blue house about the structure and its basically a concrete house with that weather board screwed in- to kind of give it a american vintage house look. With the size of the house being proposed at 20m x 14m do you think I can manage 3 small bedroom and 2 bath rooms, kitchen and lounge area? If so how would you design it? Where would you put the lounge area and kitchen?. The water pipes will run along the side of the rice field fence all the way to the water tanks. Thanks for your help with this. Just trying to get ideas.

I live a busy life. I do own a business and deal with Thais. I make a LOT of money I am happy. -
Actually we have bank accounts and a lot of banks in Thailand for our business. UOB is the only one we have problems with getting the statement out of the phone app. Do you have the UOB app on your phone?? Its weird bc we normally want a full months statement on the 1st of each month for the prior month. Whenever we try to do it on the first of the month we cant. We have to wait several days. The app is rubbish IMHO. When you get back change banks is my opinion

We own an old building on a corner and theres a row of buildings connected to us. Next door they recently purchased and are doing their renovations. They have ripped up the old tile floors and right at the back of their room, on the ground floor, is what you see in the first pic. It shows the mini trench that runs through the entire set of buildings all the way along the rear of each building. Their workers are saying its not good bc during the rain season the water flows along here and smells blah blah. My tenant has a restaurant. He said they told him they saw oil and a bit of chili floating past. We turned on all the taps in our building on the ground floor and then went to see if any water was passing through. There was none. So then they said it must be coming from from the rain water in the roof passing down the the vertical pipe. But actually the owner told us they will re-do the floor and it will be covered with tiles. But their workers seem to have a power trip trying to tell us that we need to re-design things on the corner of our building outside as shown in the 3rd pic. I dont know if its an easy fix and just concrete over the round hole in the 3rd pic. My biggest concern is that the new owners will probably put concrete over that square hole in pic 1. Problem solved for them. We will not know about it until the rain season starts and I wonder where that water will go exactly. The water level will rise up and maybe it will come out the hole in pic 3 Do you think we should bring some officers from the district office that might support us and give an opinion. With a small envelope maybe we can tell them to say that they are not allowed to block up that hole. Any opinions on this are appreciated.

Urgent cardiologist needed for old mate

If the guy values his life he should get on a plane and in 1 day he is back in the motherland and can subsequently probably get better treatment there If he is past that stage and doesnt care then I suppose he belongs here with other farang in the same situation. I cant be bothered scrolling up and reading thru this drama but it sounds as if he should get a CTA scan on the heart to assess the blockages and take things from there. If a go fund me page is set up please provide a link to all posters in this thread. Maybe we can all pitch in -
Urgent cardiologist needed for old mate

If he goes to a public hospital and the cardio dr does an echo and if he has low ejection function EF then he can maybe prompt the dr about Entresto. Otherwise they will put the guy on a heart med thats been around for 20 yrs. If he values his life and can pay 5000 to 10000 go to a proper private hospital in bkk for sure. Ive tried public hospital drs here in Thailand and most of them are unimpressive to say the least. -
Urgent cardiologist needed for old mate

You can buy it from any pharmacy or most pharmacies. 30 tablets 2700 baht I think but my memory is going. Maybe its 3700. Unsure. Public hospitals have it in their own pharmacies cheaper of course but not by much because its made in Switzerland and not thailand. Obviously he should first confirm that he has low heart function and an echo cardiogram is the cheapest way to test this. (EF). -

Sounds like BS. Tell the police you want to take it to court and see what he says. -

I wanted to ask your advice actually. we dont know exactly when we will start building the new house. If we ask them to set up the new temporary supply in the next few months and then dont actually use it... does it mean a zero bill each month if we are not using it? Also we are currently waiting on PWA water officer to give quotation for temporary meter installation. I want this done now before we put concrete fences around the entire boundary. I think the pipes will have to go underground and best to lay this before we do the concrete fences. Do you agree that we cant do the fences prior to sorting the water pipes? Do I have the correct order of events here: 1. PWA install water meter on the edge of our land near the road 2. Pay a private contractor to connect pipes to the meter and run these inside the boundary close enough to the site where the proposed house is 3. Install concrete fences and gates 4. Pay private contractor digger machine and add soil inside our land area where its needed after concrete fences are installed (there will be huge holes everywhere inside the fence line) 5. House is ready to start building. Ask PEA electric to install temporary poles/ lines Is this the correct order? thanks

You have no idea what you are talking about. Ive had blood tests and deficient in zinc and copper. 3 weeks of taking only these 2 and I already feel a lot better. I have felt unwell for a few yrs and have been deficient in both for some time. According to wikipedia 25% of the worlds population are deficient in zinc. Normally I dont take vitamins but for medical reasons I think its worth it. Will get tested next month to see if my levels are up to normal range

Shyrly is correct. They will start with an EKG and then Echo for sure and probably a 24 to 48 hour heart monitor. If the heart function is low he should go on Entresto 100mg twice a day. Its the new miracle drug that raises heart function with proven results. Its half a beta blocker half something else that I cant be bothered looking up. My friend was on it and it worked for sure. Pacemaker might be required depending on diagnosis. Why go to the small hospitals when top private hospitals as so close in bkk??? -
If you and your landlord dont get along then you should just stop paying the rent and let him have the deposit that way. By the time you move out you lose nothing. We had to do that once bc the landlord went a bit weird on us. Lease Contracts that are not registered at the land office are not worth the paper they are written on.

Whats this thing on the bottom of my foot?
ubonr1971 replied to ubonr1971's topic in Health and Medicine
I ended up finding cheap treatment on the beach. Paid 300 baht for an old lady to scrape the old dead skin off my feet. When she saw the wound in the pic she said 'mai bpen rai' and scraped it as well. It hurt a bit at first but she really cleaned up the whole area. Cannot believe it but the next day onwards the pain is gone. Amazing thailand -

We purchased land and intend to build a house this year or next. The PWA water authority said that they can send a team out to do a quotation on putting in a meter as a temporary connection. They said if we wanted a permanent one we would have to visit the planning office. If we intend to have gutters running around the house and carport collecting the water to the tanks do we need a permanent PWA supply? Surely a temporary one is sufficient?? A month or so ago I remember asking the PEA electric and same for them. They said we can ask the neighbours to run wires on top of their poles and we would have to put up a few more concrete poles. They can give us temporary connection that way. They said that in the next 2 yrs there might be big poles being run down past our land to a new big government development. Maybe we can use that in a few yrs to get a permanent connection. If you have any experience with this can you please leave a comment. Should we be sorting both these issues out before we start building the house? And before we put up the concrete boundary walls? thanks
