Glory to white national supremacists! According to Trump, immigrants in the U.S. illegally are "destroying the blood of our country, they're destroying the fabric of our country." -
Thai Tax Returns for Foreigners
Srikcir replied to Nickcage49's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I understand that the Revenue Department will amend the law to collect taxes from residents who have income from abroad, even if that income is not brought into the country. As such it would apply in the determination of Thai taxed income relative to any foreign resident's country's Double Taxation Treaty if applicable. Thai taxation may exceed foreign citizen's home country's taxation (ie., higher Thai tax bracket than foreigner's home country tax bracket). The amendment would be consistent with the principle of taxation of worldwide income, such as required in the case for US citizens regardless whether they bring that income into the US or not. For US citizens (I don't know if this is unique or similar for other countries), it also triggers the mandatory annual Foreign Bank Account Report (FBAR) to identify foreign funds held under almost any kind of ownership that exceeds cumulatively $10,000. Failure to file has a very high penalty. -
Leftist realist. Right wing propagandists can't face truth because fear of the unknown disappears.

Republicans win control of the US House of Representatives
Srikcir replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
The majority Senate did not elect Trump MAGA candidate Rick Scott as majority leader. Trump insisted on a public vote but the vote was by secret ballot. That's a MAGA defeat. Expanded powers for Trump voted down because of one Republican. As Democrats found over the last four years, a slim majority doesn't always get its way: -
Republicans win control of the US House of Representatives
Srikcir replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Note that Senate "Republicans" elected John Thune as their new leader, replacing Mitch McConnell Thune, of South Dakota, beat out Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Rick Scott of Florida in a secret ballot election to replace Mitch McConnell. Rick Scott is MAGA endorsed by Trump for Senate majority leader. Also note that Trump demanded a public vote vs a secret vote. As such Trump lost. -

"they" - More politically known as congressional opposition. Aside, when it comes to whining, Trump has shown over the last ten years that he is the King of whining. -
Why would there be a new owner? Maybe you're just being funny? "The main owner of the shop was a Thai national who legally registered the store." This might be the owner. There is the business partner (Thai unless an illegal foreign nominee?). But "There is no report on whether Daniel’s Thai business partner was involved in the criminal activity. Police have not planned to summon the Thai national for questioning" So it would seem only why Daniel as a "partner" would not remain in the business.

Why experts are blasting Trump for 'already breaking the law'
Srikcir replied to simple1's topic in Political Soapbox
Not according to the USSC. It ruled that there are circumstances immunity applies when POTUS acts in the duties of the POTUS and not immune when he acts in any other capacity, as a private citizen. Its decision was that lower court judges must make such analysis. Thus, a lower court can find Trump acted without POTUS immunity and be subjected to criminal prosecution. For example, Trump acting as a POTUS candidate running political office is not conducting himself as POTUS but as a private citizen. A further example, paying a porn star to be silent through a private attorney so that such revelation does not affect his candidacy for POTUS. -

Don't you mean MAGA - the party of Trump? MAGA and Trump have made clear MAGA excludes Republicans in Name Only ("RINOS") and/ or GOP who have not sworn fealty to Trump. While the number of MAGA/GOP are small in the House and Senate, we have seen in the past combined with Democrat votes they can potentially block MAGA legislation. But I understand the attempt to show super political strength by using the now collective term Republicans...it's a Trump thing. -
Trump Moves Forward with Hardline Immigration Strategy
Srikcir replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Your source for 90 trillion? When a figure seems outrageous, it might just be false. Especially in light of Biden's budget that provides $11 billion commitment for international climate finance, including $3 billion for the President's Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience. Why worry about whatever you allege the cost for climate change for the US? Trump considers climate change to be fake propaganda. -

Thailand Overhauls Auto Tax to Boost Electric Vehicle Adoption

I was referring to no Federal mandates as Trump claimed. Of course states are independent to make such mandates but they are unenforceable - more a goal towards environmental objectives. -

Will Trump deport the LEGAL Haitian migrants in Ohio as promised?
Srikcir replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
It's not an emergency exception but the Constitution that all peoples in America are entitled to Due Process of the Law. A Presidential Order cannot override the Constitution. But Trump has expressed intent to overthrow the US Constitution to become a dictator. That would be an interesting attempt as it would put Trump on conflict withe the US military that has sworn yo Uphold the Constitution. Coups without military backing don't do well. -

Srikcir replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
The hearing process is adjudication by an immigration judge within Department of Homeland Security. It's unlikely Trump nominations have infiltrated DHS to the extent that the Rule of Law will be abrogated. So undocumented immigrants will get a fair and impartial review. Depending on information regarding the immigrants presence in the US under US asylum laws, they may be granted permanent stay in the US or deported. But the current problem is more judges are needed to shorten the time gor adjudication. POTUS Trump refused to increase number of immigration judges and subsequent MAGA congressmen continued refusal to government requests. -
Kittirat Na Ranong Chosen as BOT Board Chair Amid Protests
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Highly likely from this appointment that BOT key interest rates will be driven by politics than by economics. The former could result in higher household debt and lower value of the baht that will affect imports. -
Trump can't make nominations until January 20th when HE becomes POTUS

At the 7/11 where I shop, in the salad area are packages of US silver dollar-sized cooked 5-6 chicken pieces much less than 50 baht. Cut in half for two more salads.
