Srettha Filing Defamation Lawsuit Against Chuwit
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'd like to know the specific facts and applicable law in this case. Do the 12 individuals legally and historically (ie., not the day before sale) each have a title/charnote for a parcel of the whole real estate? Might be a partnership of the 12 with equal individual percentages of ownership. Would it matter? May depend on a partnership agreement where parcels can be sold individually without unanimous partnership agreement. The public perception might be a single property ownership but legally the opposite. A further complication is that Thailand uses common law driven by culture and tradition versus case law. -
I too just saw the movie at a regular screening at Major Cineplex Central Rama 2. I'd say about 85-90% is closeup dialog that really nullifies paying for high-tech screening. The theater had only 8 seat rows and IMAX not available.

Move Forward apologise to supporters as Pheu Thai forms new coalition
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A system that denies the People their vote. MFP hasn't been ever the government nor allied with the royslist-military complex to even have access to the trough. It's supporters have been told to go chew grass as it's reward. -
Trump charged with four counts over 2020 election
Srikcir replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Nearly 4% of POTUS Trump's judge nominees have been black vs. 18% black under POTUS Obama. About 6% from both POTUS were Asian-American. POTUS Trump judicial confirmations was further 86% white vs POTUS Obama at 64%. If you want to claim bias, then it's in favor of Whites. -
Numerous highway elevated pedestrian crossings at major points such as hospitals, shopping centers, government buildings, etc. but no roadway surface crossings. Crossing Rama 2 means crossing something like six highway and four frontage roads. Not to mention highway center areas where new elevated highway construction would block any surface crossing.

Thailand solar power easily justified when the average monthly sunhours over the year (ie., Bangkok ) is about 200 hours. But where is solar water heating? Common along the Mediterranean, south Aegean coastlines and parts of US, Middle East and Europe.

Versus the Fate of Pita linked to political fate of the Thai People. There is a difference. -
The only similarity between a photon and a particle is momentum. Photons has according to current science NO MASS versus particles, is pure energy versus no known particle travels the speed of light. Unlike particles, photons are not affected by the weak nuclear force. But photons are affected by gravitational force, albeit not from mass like a particle.

Could this be a Ukraine-War-related Wheat Supply Problem? Might be a supply chain problem but not a wheat export problem. 4 top workd exporters of wheat: Russia, EU, Australia, USA (2021) Russia, EU, Canada, Australia (2023) Where Ukraine exports decreased, Russia filled in. Much of Ukraine export now goes to the EU.

It appears the IT person wasn't all that capable of "erasing the tape." DOJ says it has the full video, likely because a security tape for an exclusive resort inhabited by an ex-POTUS, the video would have been sent to an electronic "cloud" (ala Khashoggi phone recording went to Apple Watch) that would protect recordings from damage by fire, electrical surge, etc. As part of discovery, the full recording should be provided to Trump's defense attorney.

As recent as June 2023 the Federation of Thai industries said that the water supply in the EEC is limited and a drought such as that caused by climate change may cause a severe water shortage if action (?) isn't taken by the government. Otherwise, I believe the legacy agricultural industry in the EEC area may be in danger of failure. This might not be the case if the EEC hadn't been established by PM Prayut using his NCPO absolute power to override any environmental assessment study.

There is another scenario: The CC only suspended Pita from his position as MP pending its decision on whether he should or should not be disqualified as either PM or MP. If the CC does agree that Pita is qualified to serve as MP and PM as did the EC prior to the election? If the House goes forward before such a favorable decision for Pita is rendered by the CC and elects a PM, is that PM suspended and a new PM selection open again?

A baton can be a metaphor wherein leadership is passed from one member of a group to another member in the group. In the subject case it is not a baton that is passed but a theft of political power.

Ten Muslim countries are Malaysia Kuwait Oman Egypt Indonesia Turkey Morocco Saudi Arabia Pakistan Qatar Are any of these nations dominated by a Buddhist government, military and non-arabic language? Have any of these nations been under a continuous State of Emergency for more than a decade that can waive constitutional rights? All I can speculate to a seemingly political hypocrisy is that the preservation of wealth as Sovereign Muslim States for trade with Thailand appears to override decades of ideological Thai subjugation that is embedded in the Malay Muslim South region.

MFP seeks reconsideration of Pita’s prime ministerial candidacy
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Going forward in the Parliament, Is it possible the MFP coalition could sustain a "no confidence vote," thus triggering another election? In such a case, maybe PTP (and Democrats) because of their demonstrated disdain for MFP progressive policies would lose further votes to MFP and create an even larger coalition on Parliament that could hold the government? -
Don't underestimate the continuing political power of the Senate and PTP.

India’s rice export halt stirs concerns of 10% surge in Thai rice prices
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Aside from adverse weather fluctuations, prices for agricultural products may be more determinable by distributors/wholesalers than by producers when it comes to volume sales. In 2021 Thailand imported $12M in rice with largest purchase of almost $2M from India. If the other major exporters of rice (Singapore, USA, Pakistan and Japan) do not increase their export of rice to Thailand albeit likely at higher prices, wholesale price for Thai rice should remain stable as Thai rice producers are able to sell more stockpiled rice to the distributors. Rice farmers make more money by selling more product without trying to raise prices. Otherwise the Thai government has authority to control the commercial retail price to control price gouging by retailers and wholesalers.
