Very common occurance in Thailand. At a local shrine here you see this fairly often. They say the spirit likes to watch movies. I tell them they didn't have movies when he was alive so how could he like them. There is some boy statue people like to go pray to for numbers now. Apparently he liked sunglasses and guns. They like lighting firecrackers at it. I guess to simulate gun fire? More wats are putting his statue in them now. Good money maker for them.

Crazy Amounts New Yorkers spend to live

I remember in high school thinking to myself, "Boy if I get a job making $5/hour I'll be set for life." ???????????? -
You can reenter until the visa expires. You didn't say what day exactly. But for example if it expires on 12 May 2024 you can reenter until 11 May 2024. Even if you come back much earlier than that you could leave and reenter again just before it expires to get a new permission to stay date which would allow you another year from that date to stay in Thailand. But once the original visa expires you need to get a reentry permit to keep your extension valid if you leave the country.

It's just an estimate. Also adding the costs of drinks. I never drink the free water offered at lots of places. While I can get a plate of food for about 35 baht where I live in other areas it can be more expensive.

Former transport minister crashes yet again in Thailand
rwill replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand News
I see him occasionally in the town I live in, Chombueng. If he wants to get something from the local market he just stops his car in the middle of the road and goes shopping. The police here don't do anything to him. Think what you want of Pareena it's nice that she is trying to stop her dad from driving. But even if they did take his license he would most likely be driving anyway. I'm sure he has one of those lifetime licenses that they used to issue. -
Does Voltaren/diclofenac require prescription in Thailand?
rwill replied to cdemundo's topic in Health and Medicine
There are no prescriptions used in Thailand. Lots of medicine can be bought from any local pharmacy if you know what you want. As long as it is carried in Thailand. Lots of people in Thailand go to pharmacies and tell them what their problem is and the pharmacy gives them what they think will help, thus avoiding going to see a doctor. There are controlled drugs here though that can only be obtained from a hospital. Which means paying to see a doctor. -
My wife usually checks in to hotels and lots of hotels don't ask for my passport. Some do though. The hotels can get fined if they are caught with foreigners there that have not been reported. I have only once filed a TM30 in over 10 years here and travel fairly often.

Wishful thinking. The senators have to be more concerned about the will of their leader. -

That's exactly why the senators were placed there in the first place, to ignore the consensus. -

As long as you don't have a reentry permit it would be canceled. -
Needing a service to come buy and vacuum/suck out the drain under my house.
rwill replied to bamboozled's topic in Chiang Mai
If you are talking about the water from sinks, showers, etc. (not the toilets) there is usually a drain pipe around the perimeter of the lot. They normally have junctions with covers(Thais call them 'ballparks') about every 10 meters. You can open the lids and see if there is any blockage in them first. I don't think a septic truck would deal with this. You would probably have to find some construction type people to clear it for you. -
Military-backed senators refuse to back MFP form a government
rwill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The opposition will control the house and that is it. PM and Senate will be the old guard. Lots of people here let the euphoria of the election results make them forget the reality of the situation. Looks like Anutin will be the next PM. -
I feed our dogs Prowild. It comes in 2 varieties lamb or tuna. On lazada it is 1,300-1,400 baht for 15KG. No corn, wheat, or soy. And no added salt. https://www.facebook.com/Prowildofficial/
