If you exit Thailand without a reentry permit you permission to stay is cancelled as soon as you leave, not the date on it.

I've been driving across it for a few years now. It's kind of weird driving past this large highway with no traffic on it. They have jumped all over the place building it. I hope they all line up in the end.

Make it a 2 week vacation. Leave early, come back late. Several years ago I went to Mukdahan during Songkran. I live in Ratchaburi. I went a few days early and had no problem. I thought I was leaving late enough after Songkran. I was wrong. It took 13 hours to drive from Mukdahan to Saraburi. Then finally it cleared up enough and only took 3 hours from Saraburi to Ratchaburi, it was after midnight then.

Burning is a way of life here. Even those complaining are still probably burning refuse in their yards.

I did my extension in January, at Ratchaburi, there was no requirement to report back again. 3 years ago they did tell me to come back with another bank statement at my next 90 day report. But the last 2 years nothing said. It seems each office makes their own rules on how they will handle the requirement. It should be fairly easy for them to check you met the requirements when you go for your next yearly extension. But best to do what they want I guess to make things go smoothly.

Being from the United States a lot of the insurance offered doesn't cover me there (worldwide except for US). Also because of exclusions a lot of what could kill me isn't covered anyway. Like strokes, heartattack, etc. So despite having insurance I'm still having to make sure I have money saved to cover potential medical expenses.

Ummm, what ATM lets you withdraw 75K baht? The most I have seen is 30K. I guess it could have been more than 1 withdrawal. But who would leave the money in the tray between withdrawals. Plus the tray would close back up after the first withdrawal. Well looking at the photo it is probably 7,500 baht not 75,500 baht. There is definitely not that much money in his hand.

Hopefully this guy spends the rest of his life in prison. But that probably will not happen here, specially if he confesses.
