  1. The gecko that sounds like it is saying, "F#%* You". My neighbors think if they do it 7 times it is good luck.
  2. It depends where you are at and where you go. I can get my hair cut for 50 baht where I live. There are barbers here that charge 120 baht too though. If I go get a cut at a salon with my wife it is much more.
  3. Amoxicillin will not do anything for a viral infection. Antibiotics kill bacteria not viruses. They are probably better off taking some Fatalaijone, which is supposed to have some antiviral properties. Most pharmacies carry it too.
  4. Covid seems to be spreading more now here. More and more people I know personally are getting it now. Relatives and friends. It's probably a good thing to let it run it's course. It's just a matter of time before everyone is exposed to it. At least lots of people now have been vaccinated. One of my grand nephews just got it from playing football/soccer. He had one Pfiser shot before that. His symptoms have been like a mild cold. Seems to be recovering after about 3 days now.
  5. Perhaps the warranty only covers the pool for leaking. This pool might not be leaking. I've been looking at pool companies lately. I will probably get one for my new home. JD pools has a 15 year warranty on thier fiberglass pools and a 10 year warranty on their liner pools. "15 year structural warranty, strong, flexible and leak-free". I'd say the pool in the article meets the 'flexible' part of the warranty. Anyway it would be nice to know which companies to avoid.
  6. All caused by lightning strikes I presume.
  7. Polygraphs are BS. Only used to scare the person into confessing. Are they legal evidence in a court in Thailand? If so I would be really scared taking one. They could say what ever they wanted for the results.
  8. As others have said the Fuel surcharge has changed. The last few years it has been negative, lowering the bill. This year it is positive, raising the bill.
  9. In my local town, the last time they had Songkran, the police out on the street during the parade were all soaked.

Schwab One International accepted my Thai drivers license as proof of address. Your address is on the back side of it. Some places also require a translation if in Thai text.

Know Your Customer. It means actually verifying the information your customer gives you. Mainly your address.
  12. Lots of workers here want to work as many days as they can. More work days more pay. Specially when you are only getting 300B/day.
  13. I had 2 shots of Moderna. My arm was sore for about a day and a half both times. That's it. What people seem to have a misconception about from the side effects is that is not the vaccine but your body reacting to thinking it is sick when it isn't. One of the things your body does to fight off an infection is to raise your body temperature. So when you get a vaccine it fools your body into thinking it is infected when it really isn't. So your body can react by raising your temperature.
  14. Someone stills your vehicle and you intentionally total it. Good job. In some places he might have been charged with attempted murder.
  15. It's reckless drivers period. Doesn't matter what they are driving. Things have improved slightly over the decades. Mostly due to improved roads. It used to be single lanes driving to Chiang Mai on the highways. The buses would just turn into the oncoming traffic when they wanted to pass forcing the cars into the shoulder. About every 100 Kilometers you would see a wrecked bus on the side of the road.
  16. By law in Thailand you can not show your product in advertisements, only the company logo. That includes showing cases of product too. She was holding a bottle. The question is if this was done outside of Thailand.
  17. I'm not sure I ever recall seeing a male bank teller in Thailand.
