If you want to live in a badly designed shoe box, built by Burmese and be tied to a materialistic self obsessed ignorant woman go ahead.

It costs B100 to get a marriage licence and B100 to cancel one. No need to get stuck with the wrong woman. And it's far cheaper than renting one by the hour.

not very often i hear someone say that. pretty sure most guys will agree like everything else in thailand it is cheaper to rent.

So now we can't even beat off on a bus? What next?

this is going to be the side effect from banning prostitution. just another reason to bring it back. funnily enough i used to run the kiteboarding school in pattaya and to tell people in thai what i did i had to say len wow for them to understand, to which almost without fail they would chag wow. len wow (play kite) and chag wow (jack off) describe the tugging on the kite line to get the kite up and tugging on something else.

  3. you are probably throwing your money away so dont invest anything you cant happily walk away from. i have a business just south of pattaya. i have 49%, my girl (mother of my 2 kids) has 25% and my accountant has 26%. i dont pay out any dividends, its just to satisfy the law. i would never ever tell anyone to put anything in their thai girlfriends or wifes name however my company has almost no assets so there is no point anyone screwing me over as there is nothing to take. i have a very good accountant whom can be trusted to be a minor shareholder, she does it to get my accounting business. she was recommended to me by several western people. if you are in pattaya message me and i will give you her details.

Have any of you negative nellies actually read the draft?

I have, and I consider it a recipie for disaster   It is laced with far too many loopholes that only favor those in power.

i had a skim of it. it is a long read. dont think anyone here cares about what is in it. odd as it seems to have every ones panties in a twist. pass or fail the army wins.

  5. you sound like you want to buy in an area where no other foreigners want to buy. is it because you have a limited budget? as a foreigner it will be very hard if you ever go to sell. there will not be many western buyers and thais prefer to buy new places. property investment is very hard in thailand. finance is very difficult to obtain so capital growth is very slow. the exception may be popular inner bangkok where some of my friends have done ok. i would always advise anyone against buying anything in thailand for many reasons. like another smart guy said already dont buy anything here you arent prepared to walk away from. also try living some where for 6 months before you buy.

What will Prayut do with the submarines he will approve and which will be useless?

After paying for them, can he have them for himself or will they stay government property?

they will turn out too expensive to maintain and operate. will end up left rusting like the rice left rotting in the warehouses. have to wonder where the money comes from for all these crazy purchases.

I can't disagree but my argument is they were selling a dangerous product which could have injured some one irrespective of the price, for me yes maybe the motor wouldn't last long but the blade shouldn't shatter after 3 months. It says in the advert made to ISO Standards, which should ensure products and service are safe, reliable and of good quality.

i had a phone call 10 minutes after I emailed the headquarters of Big C, lady bring it back and we will replace it or give you a refund, that's what I call good service.

big C is great on returns. much better than tesco.my girl prefers to shop at tesco but i buy all my bigger items at big C.

  8. just 2 weeks ago i tried to save 200thb by buying a cheap wall fan. got home and a blade was broken. straight back to the shop and upgraded to a hitari. i have owned about a dozen of them and have never had one let me down.

  9. as far as i know thailand do not make any of their own brand cars which is strange as they obviously have the technology. the best that they can hope for is to promote other manufacturers to come and make their EVs here. they will have to be pretty good however as my thai made mitsubishi pickup is an excellent vehicle. 600K thb brand new and very cheap to run. would have to be a pretty good EV to make me want to change over.
