  1. To be fair, you wouldn't expect underage prostitution to occur openly in a busy, developed tourist town, like Hua Hin, would you? I don't think I've ever seem this. However, Thai karaoke bars, different story.
  2. Liable for what? Drinking in a bar?? They were trafficked for sex, according to Thai law. Lemme guess, you think they should be charged for trafficking themselves? Lol
  3. They are the victims in this case. What planet are you on?? Did it say that in the article? I'd bet they knew the bar owners/staff and sent them to work at the bar. We can't know for sure, obviously.
  4. I bet if he asked their age they would have said 20, since that's the age you need to be to go to a bar in Thailand.
  5. Parents should be prosecuted, too, if they sent them to do this work.
  6. I dunno how you could pinpoint the age down to 2 year intervals. I've seen 26 year olds that could pass for 16. My EX looked 25 when she was 35. I saw a picture of her at 15 on her first day of work and I thought she was 9, lol. Seriously. But she didn't have her period til 18, apparently, so maybe she was an unusual case.
  7. Thanks for finding the link to prove what I said "Whoever, imputes anything to the other person before a third person in a manner likely to impair the reputation of such other person or to expose such other person to be hated or scorned, is said to commit defamation, and shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding one year or fined not exceeding twenty thousand Baht, or both." Even if what he said is true, it's still defamation.
  8. Can understand and speak Thai well enough to get by in most situations. Can read a little too. But have zero motivation to learn more. Probably haven't learned a new word in a decade
  9. Even if the defamation is true, it's still defamation according to Thai law
  10. There is no evidence he can show to disprove the defamation. Even if they trashed their place and he had evidence, it would still be defamation according to Thai law
  11. I see you haven't read the Bible. Well, lurking isn't a movement. I suppose they can lurk, if they are mentally capable of it.
  12. This is probably the first time in Biden's term I have been pleasantly surprised.
  13. I actually agree. Airbnb is ridiculous with its cleaning rules and cleaning fees. That said they shouldn't wreck the place, obviously, but the guests shouldn't be expected to clean or pay for cleaning
  14. I remember opening an account at Kasokorn with nothing but my passport
  15. It's amazing what they latch onto, just trying to find whatever dirt they can. His hair, skin color, his wife, his son, anything he ever said, lol. Meanwhile, the Biden family gets a pass. You don't even need to look hard to find dirt on them. I mean if Trump went around sniffing and fondling children at every opportunity, Jesus. They just don't care. It's only politics. BLM got a pass. Illegals get a pass. Any democrat gets a pass. But if you are a republican, you'll get locked up for having a police-guided tour through your own Capitol.
  16. Does Biden even know he's running for President?
  17. Probably varies from place to place, depending on upbringing. Obviously, I have no exact answer to this. How does becoming quadriplegic or brain damaged fit into this ideology? Who said life was supposed to be exciting?
  18. Interesting, last time I looked road deaths were slightly ahead of drowning. Perhaps, it has changed. Yeah, I get that in many cases there's no choice. I was just replying the other guy who compared the risk to sex or alcohol, which I pointed out wasn't a great comparison as motorcycles are far riskier. It seems pretty clear in Thailand, at least
  19. Exactly. I ain't losing sleep over this one. One less hoodlum on the streets.
