Where to find best ENT doctor/Surgeon
Don Chance replied to chawarmas's topic in Health and Medicine
It is monsoon season, so likely there is mold in your house or apartment, you could be allergic. There is no cure for allergies but something can make them better. Surgery also will not cure allergies. Do you have allergies? Change your diet, lose weight, exercise, avoid certain food, try eating other foods, less meat maybe. You might be allergic to certain foods, drink more water, try different thinks. More fiber. I eat a very plain diet and that helps. Xylitol works very well for me. Order online lazada. Boil a small amount of water for a couple of minutes and put in a small container with some Xylitol. Get a nasal bulb or something and applied to your sinus. It acts as cleaner. Do this twice a day for a few weeks and it should get better. https://www.webmd.com/diet/foods-high-in-histamine -

Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad. -
If your tooth is already badly rotten away with filling, then i would not bother with a root canal. The worst part are root canal teeth that are stinking and rotten. I think very unhealthy and not worth it. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/06/well/oral-health-hygiene.html

How important is a routine for you
Don Chance replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It is the opposite,it is changing your routine that will keep you young and healthy. You need to step out of your safe space regularly. -
It is the way people treat you when you have money that makes people happy. At least they think.

Lots of sand flies, beaches are not great, mud. Usual hot and sticky climate, little wind. Smog problem in the winter, i think they burn trash near by. Military zone so you have sign into to go to the beach. Right wing conservative town. Hardly any English spoken by anyone. Boring and dreary place. Some half dead expats hobbling around might turn you crank though. If you are looking for the "last resort.' This might be it.

How To Avoid The 'Wham Bam, Thank You' Scam
Don Chance replied to Brewster67's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Opposites do not attract. If you want a successful marriage, marry someone you have a lot in common with. Also don't live together before. That is what research data says. -
I think the Philippines will surge ahead in the future as their society advances and progresses. It will more attract to expats for the cooler weather and English speaking people. Thailand will lose flavor due to over development.

Phuket Landlord Shocked At Damage Caused By Foreign Tenant
Don Chance replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Ya the roof, walls and floor leaved with the monsoon rains and then the Ukrainian realized he was living in a mold factory because his head was about to explode from pain. So he started to remove some of the rotten wood to see if he could fix it himself and found all the mold and rot. Then decided to get out of Thailand because..... things were just not working out at all. I had this experience in Thailand with mold many times, they are very poor builders. Almost every building has a mold problem. -

Aussie mum’s brave battle ends in poignant farewell
Don Chance replied to Don Chance's topic in Southern Thailand News
She is about 6' tall. Everything is design for short people in Thailand, so if you are not aware of this it is easy to trip. Step run and rise are irregular. There should be travel warning. Same with balcony and railing heights. Many times railing as absent on stairs completely. So many hazards tourists will take for granted. It is a problem with modernity and growth, it requires a lot of safety. You are safer in Nepal or India because things are low tech, cars are slower. etc. -
Lack of mold. Which is hard to find. Older solid place with a good fan and ventilation. Maybe a new place with polished floors instead of tiles. Tiles usually have mold growing under neath. I'm alleregic. Just give me a good old bungalow and i will be happy.

Mold is not (usually) toxic. People eat mold - blue cheese. That looks like some fungus. It i just an old pillow. Put in the washing machine or get a new one. Mold is only a problem if you are allergic to it. There is tons of mold in Thailand building, almost all of them. I know i am allergic and it is problem. Did you check out the whole mattress? Does it look like that? There are two parts here: fungus and mold spores. The fungus grows in the dark and wet places such as under your floor tiles then the mold spores float around the cause allergies or land on places like a pillow and start to grow again. So in the monsoon the sub floor gets wet in Thailand, especially if it is one the ground. You can be sure that billions of people on the planet live in moldy places and are just fine. Unless you are immune compromised.
