    It is very hard and very unlikely that a police general in Thailand involving himself with so many facets of the Thai justice will be a 100% without a fault even if he wanted to, the question is, how deep or how far his nefarious dealing went, i personally think that he's as good as they come and the best Thailand can hope for in a police general...

    The only other way would to pay a local agent the 12,000 or so baht to do your yearly retirement renewal while keeping your money in the UK bank earning much more than the agent fees...

    Is this what a would be ex pats be interested in when considering moving to Thailand? cheaper entrance fees to parks? there are dozens of way to make an expat life easier with all the red tapes and myriad of documentations every time you have to renew/extend a permit of the dozens of permits out there?
