A false opinion according to a lawyer I spoke to in Bangkok is regarding putting someone as a signatory on their account. Thinking, when they die the signatory will be able to access the funds. I was told the signatories access to the account ends upon the death of the main account holder. But, I guess ask your bank what their rules are regarding this.
