Seems to be based on the new MB56 prismatic cell which basically is a double size MB31 and which also has double price, double weight, and double capacity - not much gained at all. Makes it just more difficult to handle, can you imagine bringing one up to your abode at the top of the world? 😆 It is limited to 200A discharge current which is the same as their 314Ah box so take 2 of those instead if you need high current capacity.

Well, all the Deye mauals that I have state a 60sqmm cable which also matches what online cable size and current calculators say. Asking google "What current can a 50sqmm cable handle" gives this AI answer which is correct: A 50 sqmm cable can handle a current of approximately 209 Amps when installed in air, 177 Amps when installed in a duct, and 217 Amps when installed directly in the ground, according to the Power and Cables website.

How about a solar car port on a budget?
lom replied to Crossy's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
No, it is connection 5 and connection 2 which comes from a switch in the thermostat switching connection 1 (neutral) to either 2 (top element) or 5 (bottom element). Day Rate - only top element heating Off-peak - only bottom element heating -

I compared his April numbers to mine and I had 1500KWh from solar and 55KWh from PEA. My panels output are half of his ie 14.4KWp and my batteries are fullly charged just after midday. I don't know what to do with the sunshine in the afternoon, guess I have to get an EV soon..😃 -

That a lot of unused energy, imagine if you could use all of that all of the day.. Are you planning to open an EV charging station for the neighborhood? 😉 -
Two houses, same lot - one solar system
lom replied to unheard's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Yes but what if the houses are connected to different phases on the grid? It doesn't matter if they are, both of the houses has their own ATS which means that a house is either connected to the joint inverter or to its own grid. -

Yes and if you want to keep the grid connection with the old meter then you can install an Automatic Transfer Switch at the old house. You can also choose to have the old meter removed and only feed the old house from the underground cable from your solar inverter. My inverter is supplying power to our main house and to the two smaller rental cabins that we have. -

A story from a sensationalistic newspaper like the Daily Mail isn't worth the paper it is printed on. Can be true or can be invented, the latter being more likely. -
Request for CT advice/Information

I would probably replace the 6x415 panels with 6x550 to get more power for the day when PEA switches your meter to a digital one. I would then install a small battery to cover the nightly consumption but not until you get a digital meter. 4 of the old panels can be used for the washroom. -
Some parts are way overpriced.. Deye 10KW 1-phase 75000 + VAT = 80250 can be had from shopee for 69000 Combiner box 15900 ouch ! A PV only combiner box is 2500-3000 and the AC breaker and surge protector is no more than 500 baht. Still, they should not mix high voltage DC and AC in the same box! Batteries 165000 + VAT 11500, you can get 2x15KW LVTopSun from Shopee for 122000 baht. Same physical dimension but only 2 battery packs. Permit? You only need a permit to change the house structure if you mount the panels on your roof and you get that from the tessaban/amphoer. Doesn't cost 15900 + VAT.. You also need to tell PEA that you are installing solar but you don't need their permit to do it. They may come and inspect your install but it is without cost for you.

It is quite the opposite, no way Thai authorities would oppose an extradition when requested by China. -
It is the simplest way to know how much excess energy you have which then can be diverted, their eddi for controlled making of hot water works in the same way. Home Assistant knows how much excess energy you have but there is no way to communicate that to zappi or eddi that I know of.

It is a Deye and I did previously have grid charging enabled for Time 1 but that was when we had lots of grid cuts. That to make sure that I started midnight with not less than 28% SOC which would take me through the night without power cuts. The screenshot is from the Solarman remote monitoring and configuration program.
