BidenEconomics is to blame-Most American's I know here in Florida are spending 15-20 % more for food, Gas, Travel, Hotels, etc.-everything has gone up thanks to Biden. Next years election is where everyone is checking their wallet on their disposable Income and finding less. 2024 is predicted to get worse.

I would think you need to prevent contaminants from entering the well, a vermin-proof cap or cover must be on the well. If the well has a pump mounted on the cover, it usually has a pipe extending into the well. The annulus (ring-shaped piece) around the pipe should be sealed and covered with a protective flashing. The cover should be watertight and sealed to the casing to prevent rodents and other animals from entering the well casing. On large-diameter wells, the cover should have a sealed and locked access hole. Just saying my two cents.

When staying in BKK and going to exchange a large amount of US $$$$ to Baht, I stay at a Fully Luxury (Named Brand) Hotel where their is a safe deposit box safe with two keys, one that is giving to me and the other key to open in a secure area that I have checked out. That to me is safer than the room safe and I have never encountered a problem. Just saying.

Scottish man becomes latest victim of Thailand’s perilous roads
Dan747 replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Thailand has one of the highest rates of road traffic deaths in the world, with the majority of fatalities involving motorbikes. The Thai Health Promotion Foundation reports that, on average, about 70 people die each day as a result of road accidents in Thailand. Of these fatalities, 74% are motorbike riders and passengers. According to the Department of Land Transport, there were 22,134 motorbike accidents in Thailand in 2020, resulting in 19,226 injuries and 6,142 deaths. -

We have a house 10 k's north of Ubon where we grow 3 types of rice, have Thai fruit/Nut trees, have 8 hens laying eggs, 15 shophouses that we rent off of highway 2050 towards Trakarn. Spent 6 months there enjoying the family and 6 months in Orlando traveling from there throughout the US in our RV. We love Isaan, very easy to travel throughout Thailand, S.E. Asia and Europe for us. “Suum cuique.”

Years ago, while I was working/traveling in Aviation away from my Spouse here in Thailand, I would occasionally send her a letter from another country to keep in touch. To my surprise, I found only about half of the letters I wrote would be received in Ubon Ratchathani at our house. Just last month, as I returned to the USA do complete our tax returns and left my wife in Thailand do to some business transactions she had to complete. I decided to send 10 letters via the Global Forever stamp for $1.20 (USA) to see if service to Thailand was the same as it was 10+ years ago. To my surprise, not one of the letters arrived at our house in Ubon. Lessons learned: If sending any letter to Thailand make sure your using a must higher priority or to be very safe send it via FedEx or UPS. Has anyone else here had the same problem with mail to Thailand?

It depends on your mindset, my brain still works at 18 years old, but my age of my 75 year ole body at times does not agree. I spent 6 months in the USA Hubing out of Orlando driving an RV throughout North America and the other in Thailand Hubing out of our house in Ubon where we also travel. Family's genes are pretty good and 83 is out of the question. I'll be pushing my life into the 90's looking at 100. I am "LUCKY and BLESSED!" Happy Travels and GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! PS: georgegeorgia you need an "Attitude Check and should be a little more Positive!"

While back in the USA for over one month, I noticed a charge on my Visa card for a Hotel in Thailand through the subject when I am not in Thailand and have absolutely have no knowledge of and at home and never accessed Agoda. Now I am trying to dispute and Agoda says the Hotel will not cancel the reservation saying it's my fault for booking when I did not. Contacted the Bank the hotel debit is still pending so I have to wait to dispute after it is posted. Agoda somehow posted this room for me from a saved Visa card I had on file through their website-Lessons learned. Looks like I am going to eat this charge since I will not be able to prove I did not make this charge via their website. Anyone else had this problem??
