  1. You can have 4 & 5 then. I'd probably pass on no.2 also. 1 & 3 look to be the smartest and are the ones who I'd guess can speak English well, they are also the two most attractive in my opinion.
  2. I paid for my shots because I'm under 55 and didn't want to wait (and the cost was only about 3600 THB). First shot was SinoVac and second AstraZeneca. The actual process of getting the shots was very well organised although they were not really set up for English speakers and I only saw one other young Western bloke there. Quite a lot of Thai Indians, but mostly Thais and very few old people, so I guess the oldies were getting free shots and it was all younger ones who were paying.
  3. I cried when I heard Gianni had been murdered. At the time almost every item in my wardrobe was Versace. The suits I wore to work, the ties, the shirts, the shoes. After his sister took over I bought less and less of the brand and now I have none of the clothes.
  4. I rent in Bangkok, in a nice building, nice pool, nice gym, 2 minute walk to a Sukhumvit BTS station. 500 sq/ft and I pay 10,000 baht a month (about 415 SGD). My point is the rental income here is very low relative to the purchase price.
  5. Well done to the OP. I am at 20 months alcohol free. My weight hasn't really changed - I'm still a bit overweight at 76kg (6' 1") I used to go out after work 2 or 3 nights a week and I do miss that, but the alcohol itself I really don't miss at all so I've decided to just keep off the booze. I've never had a drinking problem, so maybe sometime if there is a glass of champagne on offer or I feel like a cocktail I might indulge in the moment. Now that Bangkok is opening up again I will be going out to meet mates but sticking to soda water.
  6. No crack was mentioned. If you don't know the difference between different drugs (much like the poster who referenced 'pot heads' in an earlier comment), then you really shouldn't be commenting.
  7. Then stay away from those areas. I'm 185 and have never noticed any issue in Bangkok related to my height.
  8. I'm heavy on ADA for the launch of their Smart Contracts platform on Sept 12. Other things I'm in or watching closely (no particular order and not financial advise) XRP XLM THETA TFUEL XPRT ZIL COTI Also looking into NFTs. A friend just spent 2 million on a bunch of NFTs.
  9. I had Sinovac last month and AstraZeneca a couple of days ago. I paid and that was what they had on offer. If they'd been offering Pzifer I would have paid for that.
  10. I have a 5 year, 10 year and 15 year plan. They all revolve around crypto investing and starting new businesses. I have 2 new businesses I am starting this year and one that I plan to start next year. I also have a couple of projects that I suppose could also be considered as businesses, one involving NFTs; and one which is a large scale charity project which I won't make any money from but the objective is to network with HiSo Thais, the Government and the Military.
  11. I am very pro crypto and have made good money from it, first in 2010, then in 2017 and now again in the past 18 months. My only regret is twice I've been in and twice I took multi year breaks where I should have stayed in the market. Oh well, won't make that mistake again! I'm in my mid 50's and a techie so I understand it probably better than the grumpy dinosaurs who don't get it and don't trust anything they don't understand. I agree some of it is highly speculative and there are a lot of scams, which for the not so well informed makes the space rather dangerous. That said some of the scams are so obvious anyone falling for them is an idiot and gets no real sympathy from me. I think we'll see 100K BTC within 2-3 months, then I'm anticipating a pullback of 70-80% Alts will likely rise for a bit longer but they will also correct after 3-4 month bullrun. Then I think we'll see a bear market for 6 months to a year, which will be a good time to accumulate. I wish we had more of us younger people in these forums, instead of it being a retirement community!
  12. Have you been following the news about the sudden increase in the financial requirements. Under the new rules, foreigners must prove they have liquid assets worth 1.5 million ringgit (US$354,000) – up from 350,000 ringgit for those above the age of 50, and 500,000 ringgit for those below the age of 50 – although 500,000 ringgit of the funds can be used for property, health care and school fees. They must also have a monthly offshore income of at least 40,000 ringgit (US$9,400) compared with 10,000 ringgit previously, which the Malaysian government says ties in with its effort to target high-income individuals who can contribute to an economy hard-hit by the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing political turmoil. The move has shocked existing visa-holders who say they will face difficulties meeting the criteria to renew their permits, even though the government will give them a grace period of one year to show they can qualify under the new rules.
  13. If you have any more SOLID GOLD watches for 31,000 baht I'll take 10. No need to post them, I'll come and collect.
  14. What type of business? You say you can only find Bangkok Bank rates but have you spoken to other banks?
  15. The kid is 6. That's a long time for her hormones to be still out of whack.
  16. Thanks. It is usually being used for work and when no being used for that serving double duty as a media center. I have another one in the bedroom that is just for watching TV shows and Movies on via USB stick.
  17. I use DuckieTV to find torrents for TV shows and Movies, then I download them to watch when I want.
  18. I use DuckieTV which lets me very easily mark what I've downloaded and what I've watched. It also only displays the shows I've chosen to watch. I get that Netflix want to recommend stuff to us, but if I have no interest in something I want the option to permanently get it out of my face.
  19. Here's mine. 49" Samsung Display, Linux Mint Cinnamon. It's usually not that messy, but I've not had time to file the stuff on the desktop.
  20. Have Netflix updated their stupid interface so you can make shows you've watched without having to watch them on their platform? I pay for Netflix but prefer to torrent the shows because I hate their stupid interface.
  21. Buy some filler and paint and fix it yourself. Easy job. Or wait until you move out and let the landlord keep 500 baht from your deposit to have some Thai guy fix it.
  22. Why would there be an icann record for a subdomain? This is the page you get to from their homepage - https://www.bangkokpattayahospital.com/en/ https://www.bangkokpattayahospital.com/en/hospital-news-en/press-release-en/item/3045-covid-vaccine-foreign-residents-en.html Root domain is the same, so the subdomain has to be legit, or at least created by someone with access to their server and DNS records.
  23. Out of 22.5 million doses, 56 people have died of something. It has not been shown to be the vaccine.
