What are my options?
Freddy42OZ replied to daeumtnaot's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My userstanding is that once you turn 50 you are eligible for the visa based on retirement, but if you were to get a job or want to switch to another visa, you can simply switch to a different visa. Claiming to be retired is not a permanent thing, you are allowed to leave retirement. -

He may be old and boring but at least his liver is healthy. People who are young dumb and full of *** don't think about those things. My liver is very healthy thanks. I haven't had a single drop of alcohol for 4 years. The last time I drank any type of soft drink was more than 10 years ago. I only drink 2 things, black coffee without sugar; and water. Nothing else for the past 4 years. -

Unsolved mystery: Thai police dig into Canadian man’s death
Freddy42OZ replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
At least the guy had friends who bothered to check where he was. I have a lot of friends here in BKK, but I reckon I would lay here rotting for a month before any of them actually started worrying about me. I have no idea where 99% of my Bangkok friends live. We meet in restaurants, coffee shops and malls. If someone I know doesn't respond to messages or emails then I have no way to "knock on their door". -
I will never understand why people use the confused or sad emoji on nice posts like this and your previous one.

Save The Children Urges Action on Child Road Deaths in Thailand
Freddy42OZ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
When you consider the risks facing Thailand because of low birth rates, to have such large numbers of the children getting killed each year is an even bigger problem. I wonder how many pregnant Thai women get injured or killed each year and what number of potential births are lost in that way. There's not much point trying to solve the low birth rate issue if you can't keep children alive! -

Thai woman claims Indian ‘businessman’ gave her STD
Freddy42OZ replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand News
True, although it can be a bit of an issue when the person first catches it, especially for women. As a man, if you have it you really need to tell every partner so they can decide if they are willing to take the risk of catching it from you. Unfortunately, because of the stigma of sexually transmitted diseases and because most people are not as well educated or informed as we all should be, most people don't know enough to make an informed decision. And worse still, people with HSV-2 don't tell potential partners for fear of rejection. -

The numbers in India are relatively low. Why didn't you check the numbers for US Adults? In the United States, approximately 12% of adults aged 14 to 49 have genital herpes, specifically caused by the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) . This statistic translates to about 1 in 8 individuals within this age group being infected with the virus. Notably, many people with genital herpes are unaware of their infection, as symptoms can be mild or absent altogether .The prevalence varies by gender, with about 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men in this age range affected by HSV-2 . Overall, while genital herpes is common, a significant portion of those infected do not receive a clinical diagnosis, contributing to the spread of the virus . Or how about UK adults? In the UK, approximately 23% of adults are affected by genital herpes, specifically the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) . This prevalence translates to around 36 million adults in the UK having antibodies to HSV-2. Additionally, the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), which primarily causes oral herpes, is also prevalent, affecting about 70% of the population. It's important to note that many individuals with genital herpes may remain asymptomatic and thus unaware of their infection status, which contributes to its spread .Overall, genital herpes is recognized as one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the UK, with a significant number of cases diagnosed annually at sexual health clinics . Let's not leave out the Aussies - In Australia, the prevalence of genital herpes is significant, with approximately 12% of adults infected with herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) . This rate is notably higher among women, with about 16% affected compared to 8% of men. The prevalence varies by geography and demographic factors, with Indigenous populations showing higher rates at 18% compared to non-Indigenous individuals at 12% .Additionally, herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), which can also cause genital herpes, has a seroprevalence of around 85% in the general population. This indicates that while many Australians carry HSV-1, a substantial number may not experience genital infections as frequently as those caused by HSV-2. The overall rates suggest that genital herpes is a common sexually transmitted infection in Australia, affecting a notable portion of the adult population . Finally, the Russians In Russia, the seroprevalence of genital herpes caused by the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) is approximately 18.8% among the general adult population. This figure is notably higher among women, with a seroprevalence of 24.0%, compared to 12.2% in men. The study indicated that the prevalence increases with age for both genders, suggesting a significant public health concern regarding HSV-2 transmission in the region. This prevalence rate places Russia's genital herpes statistics in line with some European countries and the United States, highlighting the widespread nature of this sexually transmitted infection Herpes, is a lot more common than you think. -
any older white male In NST, English speaker?
Freddy42OZ replied to gododo's topic in General Topics
Your original post was very poorly written. You should have included more information. Let me give you an example. "My girlfriend and I live in Nakhon Si Thammarat and we would like to improve our conversational English. We would like to find a British or American gentleman who would be interested in some conversational English lessons. We can only pay a small amount, but it would be enough to buy yourself a few extra beers." -

Shocking Revelations at Sean Diddy Combs Hamptons Sex Parties
Freddy42OZ replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Sounds like a pretty normal party to me. Almost all the parties I went to from about 1995 to 2005 had people doing drugs and having sex. We were all in our late teens to mid 30's. Parties on yachts, in hotel suites, in luxury homes, in clubs..... I guess poor people don't enjoy the same level of debauchery and excess. -
Benefits Of Quitting Smoking 20 Minutes To 15 Years
Freddy42OZ replied to Pattaya Spotter's topic in Stop Smoking Forum
That was my experience. Smoked for around 25 years, was up to 2 packs a day. Just stopped. Didn't change anything else about my lifestyle, at that point I was still spending hours a day in bars (drinking and playing pool). I simply said ok that's my last smoke and it was. No cravings, not touched one in about 14 years. I also did the same thing with alcohol 4 years ago. All it takes is willpower. -

They won't make a custom bong, too expensive unless you want to order several 100 units. Also depends on the level of customisation.
