Go to Emporium and within the gadgets and laptops section you'll find a large selection of chargers from all the known brands. -
Just pay them the same rate as if they were taking you there and back.

I've had enough of the Tourist Ghettos in Thailand!

Not exactly true. As individuals, I could sell you something and you could pay me in crypto. There is no law against that. What is prohibited in Thailand is the creation of an actual payment gateway that uses crypto and facilitates e-commerce payments for goods and services. But anyone doing e-commerce, whether their customers are only in Thailand or from elsewhere, can use a crypto payment gateway based outside of Thailand. notes: Since April 1, 2022, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has prohibited digital asset business operators—such as crypto exchanges and wallet providers—from facilitating or promoting the use of digital assets for purchasing goods or services. This means these businesses cannot offer payment services using cryptocurrencies or develop systems that support such transactions. However, this regulation does not extend to private individuals. Private transactions between individuals, where cryptocurrencies are used as a medium of exchange, are not explicitly banned. Yet, the Bank of Thailand (BOT) discourages the general public from using digital assets for payments due to concerns about financial stability and potential risks like money laundering. In summary, while it's not illegal for private individuals to use cryptocurrencies for payments in Thailand, such activities are discouraged by financial authorities.

WISE....Beware !
Freddy42OZ replied to kalasiner's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
A few weeks back I was transferring some money on a Saturday afternoon (15:39), WISE said it would be in my account in 4 days. I received an email 2 days later on Monday at 09:44 telling me the transfer was done and sure enough the funds were already in my Kbank account. 23 November at 15:39 You set up your transfer 23 November at 15:39 You used THB in your Wise account 25 November at 09:44 We paid out your THB 25 November at 09:44 Transfer successfully sent to your bank Keep in mind — It can take up to 2 working days for your bank to credit the account. It obviously didn't take Kbank 2 days to credit my account. I'm not sure why people are making such a fuss, whilst its nice to get instant transfers, how often do you need money that quick and have Wise as your only option. Don't people keep cash in multiple accounts with different access limitations? -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Freddy42OZ replied to offset's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I can fill them in electronically. On my PC running Linux they open with a program called Xreader (https://github.com/linuxmint/xreader/) and I can fill them out on screen, no need to print them out. -

I'm ignoring it. I'm not an American, nothing on those forms applied to me. -

Yesterday I spoke with my friend who works for Canada Post. He said they are not going back to work any time soon. If I were you I would fly back to Canada and get a new passport in person. Unless the Canadian passport office will send back your new passport by Fedex. Good luck! -

What has anyone's religion got to do with what type of gifts you give them? There really are only a few things I ever give as gifts. I only give gifts to family and very very close friends. Most people want some kind of tech, whether that is a phone, tablet, laptop, video game unit.....

Not cooking this morning. Instead I enjoyed a delicious Eggs Benedict at the Mandarin Oriental's Verandah Restaurant. Lovely cool morning to be watching the boats go past on the Chao Phraya river.

The home probably wasn't worth that much when they bought it and who's to say they owned it. More likely it was mortgaged and the bank still owns most of that value.
