  1. Yes, some people seem to think Pattaya is Walking Street and soi 6!
  2. Shocking. Crashed in a residential area as well. Mostly Indians, Brits, Portuguese and Canadian on board (according to Air India).
  3. Horrible news of an Air India air crash in India - a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
  4. info[at]perfectplayer.tv 10,000 baht for the year. Slightly more expensive if you pay monthly/quarterly, I think.
  5. We moved from Bangkok, in the end to Ban Chang but we seriously considered Pattaya. You don't mention if you have kids, but it has certainly been a hugely positive move getting out of Bangkok both for me and my wife, but also my son. Ban Chang suits us best, but Pattaya can be a great place for family life. Good luck!
  6. I'm looking for a reputable agent, with connections at Rayong Immigration, to help with changing my family's Extensions of stay. Most agents seem to be for Pattaya. Any recommendations?
  7. Hmm, as I thought! So Gary Lineker was forced out for not being pro-Hamas enough?
  8. Partly. https://yorkshirebylines.co.uk/news/is-the-bbc-now-the-official-mouthpiece-for-reform/
  9. If if the BBC becomes even more pro-Reform than it is now, it will still be criticised by the BBC haters!
  10. Thanks. I did chat with a Pattaya law firm I use for other matters but who also do visa stuff, however they recommended using someone with 'contacts' at Rayong. If there no Rayong agents, then yes, I'll have to try myself and go to Rayong. I dread the queuing system and trying to ask questions at a small window. I wonder if they have an appointment system where one can sit down and ask questions? Wishful thinking maybe!
  11. An excellent summary. Driving in Thailand is an exciting experience, requiring considerable cultural awareness! 🤞🙏😎
  12. I want to change my 10-year-old son's Extension of Stay from being my dependent (I have a Work Extension) to his own Education extension. I also want to change my wife's Extension from my dependent, to a Parent/Guardian Extension for our son. My son's school will provide all the paperwork, however, they seem to think it will be necessary for both my son and my wife to leave Thailand and get new Non-O visas. Both them had their original Non-O visas from London in 2016 and have extended every year since then. I'm sure the school are right, but I would like to explore the option of using a visa agent/specialist, with Rayong Immigration contacts, who might be able to get the change done without needing to leave Thailand. If this requires paying an extra fee, I would be happy to do so. Does anyone know a reputable agency covering Rayong, who might be able to help and/or advise? Thanks.
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/jun/10/cutting-uk-income-requirement-for-family-visas-would-increase-net-migration-says-independent-panel Now we just have to hope the government follow the recommendation and don't continue pandering to Reform. Or, better still but unlikely, scrap the financial requirement altogether.
  14. In my opinion, no, it's nothing to do with the TDAC. Passport control has always been busy at peak periods of the day. It's nothing new.
  15. It's called Outlook now, but Hotmail accounts still work.
  16. How much higher are insurance premiums for EVs or hybrids?
  17. Yawn. If a massive tsunami, military coups, tanks on the streets, economic crashes, Covid didn't "finish" tourism, I think it's pretty safe now.
  18. "Under 18" not 18. 18 is the legal limit for prostitution.
  19. So why not release them? There are rumours that they contain videos...
  20. What happened the OP? Maybe he's ensconced upstairs on soi 6?
  21. Your question wasn't addressed to me, but I'm annoyed that if I want to take my British son to Disneyland, his Lao mother is 'banned' from coming with us!
  22. They just beat the SNP and Reform UK in a Scottish by-election. Maybe that doesn't mean much, but I predict that in the next year, or so, Reform will dissolve into the protest group that it is and the Tories will have a self-destructive leadership contest. Anyone want to make a £50 bet on Labour winning in 2029?
