  1. It is disappointing. The movie/TV series collection is better than Pulse, but not having working catch-up or some news live streams is annoying. I was with Pulse for about 6 years and pay the whole year up front, so pretty much stuck with Perfect for the next few months. Everyone says Wizz are good, but I worry that their servers are in Thailand so could get shut down like Expat TV. Perfect have servers in Singapore so safer, but that's probably why there's so much buffering.
  2. They mention HMPO now. We are pleased to inform you that effective from 18 March 2024, the UK Visa Application Centre and the HMPO address in Bangkok, Thailand will be relocated to the new address below: Visa Application Centre and HMPO address: VFS (Thailand) Ltd. The Shoppes at Belle Grand Rama 9, 131/1,141/1, Unit BS003 – BS003/1, 1st Floor, Rama 9, Huay Kwang, Bangkok 10310 Thailand. https://visa.vfsglobal.com/tha/en/gbr/news/important-update-uk-visa-application-centre-in-bangkok
  3. Yeah, me too. They've told me a new server for SE Asia is being installed today which should improve the connection. I've also not been able to connect to the Live Stream for CNN, Sky News and Fox News.
  4. Has anyone else signed up for PerfectPlayer TV? It used to be PulseTV, but is now PerfectPlayer TV. I'm having issues connecting to some channels and am wondering whether others have the same problems.
  5. I doubt that many Thais, nationally, live in tall buildings, so probably not that many.
  6. Seems like it's now moving too.
  7. Pretty much the entire media reporting of the issue in the UK is disgraceful. Anyone would think there's an election coming.
  8. Then she should be convicted in a UK court and locked up. The key can be thrown away for all I care. I think you have missed the point!
  9. She's a fool and was a dangerous fool who deserves to be punished. But making her stateless is wrong and a purely political decision. I have faith that the UK Supreme Court will overrule.
  10. Perhaps if Australia, UK and USA gave Thais visa-free entry, Thailand might relax entry requirements for them as well. But seeing as they already get 30 days + 30 days, or 60 days + 30 days with a visa, it's unlikely Thailand will be even more generous when there is zero reciprocity.
  11. I suspect the Supreme Court will overrule again. I hope so. She deserves punishment but it should be handed out in a court of law, not by disgraceful politicians.
  12. Give them time, they're probably busy.
  13. All good. A diverse multi-cultural society is ideal. How boring it would be if we all assimilated.
  14. Wai away. If you're not Thai it really doesn't matter whether you get it "right" or not.
  15. Didn't people have the same crises about books in the 18th/19th century, TV in the 1950s/1960s, then video games in the 1970s/1980s etc. Things change.
  16. There are plenty of international schools to choose from, with a wide range of fees, but it depends on where you're going to be living. As well as the academic/English requirements for your son, pick a school that is nearby. Having a 1-2 hour journey every morning/afternoon is not recommended.
  17. Ah, right. I forgot that. I guess as they're a charity, they may make the rules.
  18. Rarely. Most are commuted by HM. The last one was in 2018 (lethal injection).
  19. Why is PDA not an option? It's scalpel-free, cheap and they're the specialists.
  20. Hopefully the OP has read all the comments and is already winging his way to BKK to submit his passport renewal application! There is still time.
  21. As Sheryl mentioned in the other, now closed, thread, making the short trip to PDA in Bangkok may be worthwhile. I had it done there a couple of years ago. Very quick and easy, in and out in an hour, and only a 5,000 'donation' required. https://pda.or.th/en/contact-us/
