  1. There are plenty of international schools to choose from, with a wide range of fees, but it depends on where you're going to be living. As well as the academic/English requirements for your son, pick a school that is nearby. Having a 1-2 hour journey every morning/afternoon is not recommended.
  2. Ah, right. I forgot that. I guess as they're a charity, they may make the rules.
  3. Rarely. Most are commuted by HM. The last one was in 2018 (lethal injection).
  4. Why is PDA not an option? It's scalpel-free, cheap and they're the specialists.
  5. Hopefully the OP has read all the comments and is already winging his way to BKK to submit his passport renewal application! There is still time.
  6. As Sheryl mentioned in the other, now closed, thread, making the short trip to PDA in Bangkok may be worthwhile. I had it done there a couple of years ago. Very quick and easy, in and out in an hour, and only a 5,000 'donation' required. https://pda.or.th/en/contact-us/
  7. Maybe he's saying Thais are 'childlike'. Something that many people find endearing about them.
  8. Indeed it is; it's the Thai way!
  9. I'm sure you've made some good points, but the lack of paragraphing doesn't make me want to try to read what you've written.
  10. 25c all night.
  11. Once or twice a week. I try to limit eating it as it's full of sugar, sodium/MSG.
  12. Good news about the same-sex marriage bill, though. 👏
  13. If that's what you're after, it's easily done.
  14. In Laos/Isaan that's the favoured way to prepare it ('moo' not gai')
  15. Why should Thailand be any different to all the other countries in Asia affected by pollution? India and China have it a lot worse.
  16. For you, maybe. Perhaps you should get out more?
  17. Potential EV newbie here: Is having an at-home charger essential? How much does at-home charging add to the domestic electricity bill? Are there numerous charging points all over Thailand? How much does it cost to charge at a public charging point? For a budget customer, is BYD the way to go?
  18. Didn't the pandemic finish years ago?🙄
  19. Well said. Raw beef is a staple of Japanese and Italian cuisine, as well as French. Why would eating it in Thailand be any different. Thais love their raw food, prawns/shrimps not to mention 'larb moo'.
  20. To experience and enjoy the famous Pattaya nightlife.
  21. It's ridiculous putting this in the Bangkok Forum, when it's a Thailand wide issue. Maybe there should be a separate PM2.5 Forum with daily updates for those who are interested?
  22. Along with 70 million other people...
  23. Biden will hang on (if he can) until the Convention. Then he will allocate all his delegates to an anointed successor, who will have agreed in advance to keep Kamala as VP. Ideally Michelle Obama, but if she can't be persuaded, Gavin Newsom.
  24. It's disgusting but just something people have always had to take precautions (masks, air purifiers) against and live with. In the past we were none the wiser as there was no social media publicity; now every time it hits red, there's a panic!
