  1. This is what ChatGPT came up with: Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I find myself in a situation that I never thought I would encounter, and I could really use some advice and perspective. Recently, I discovered that my wife has been involved with another man, and to make matters worse, he's now asking her for money while he is in Thailand. To say that I'm shocked and hurt would be an understatement. It feels like my whole world has been turned upside down. I've confronted my wife about the situation, and she admitted to the affair but claims that she is being manipulated and emotionally coerced into giving him money. Now, I'm at a loss as to what I should do. I still love my wife, but I feel betrayed and unsure if our relationship can recover from this. I also have concerns about the financial aspect. I don't want our hard-earned money to be used to support her affair partner. I'm seeking advice on how to handle this situation. Has anyone been through a similar experience? How did you navigate the emotional turmoil and make decisions about the future of your relationship? What steps can I take to protect myself financially and emotionally? Additionally, I'm looking for insights on dealing with the requests for money. Should I confront the other man directly or try to cut off communication between them? How can I support my wife in finding a way out of this toxic situation without enabling her affair? I understand that every situation is unique, and there may not be a one-size-fits-all solution. However, any advice, personal experiences, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is a difficult time for me, and I could really use some support and guidance. Thank you all in advance for your understanding and assistance. Best regards, [Your Forum Name]
  2. It was a reply to a comment that used the ECHR as a comparison with Thai immigration policies. Admittedly, the point I was replying to was tangential to the thread but was allowed by the Moderators, so I felt I had to put the poster straight.
  3. There are plenty of hebephiles and ephebophiles in Thailand (just like in most countries).
  4. A lot of it about. Far nastier than Covid, assuming you're vaccinated. Hope she gets well soon.
  5. I moved from Bangkok to Rayong over a year ago. There was no need to change the details on my Thai driving licence or my car registration. I renewed it in the new province without issue. Obviously, when I renew my DL the address will be changed. A TM30 report is definitely necessary.
  6. Perhaps he wants to live in Thailand?
  7. Incorrect. A visa just allows you to enter Thailand for a specific reason. Upon entering you are stamped in for a period of time. If you exceed that time, you have overstayed.
  8. Why would the Immigration Bureau have anything to do with traffic offenders?
  9. I know that area well - lots of cheap rooms (not condos) but right in the centre of town. Lively neighbours too!
  10. Thailand allows most tourists to stay 'visa exempt' for 60 days, and then it's not difficult to do a border run to legally extend the stay again. Anyone overstaying is not a tourist!
  11. I remember that well. 365sport had a lot of customers, but their problem was having servers in Thailand. I queried this with Pulse at the time, as I pay annually up front, but they reassured me they would be OK. 6 years later, so far so good!
  12. Yes, but my point is the girls can choose to do that already and some probably did before they moved to Beach Road. Street soliciting will never be "cleaned up" - some girls (or boys) just don't want the restrictions of working under rules.
  13. "Grey" in regard to Thai law, as their servers are not in Thailand so technically not breaking Thai law (so I'm told!). But obviously not so grey in regard to the copyright content!
  14. She's partly right. Yes, you need to go to Immigration and cancel your Extension (and work permit at the Dept of Labor). Technically you then need to leave Thailand immediately, but in practice you'll get a 7-day extension (1,900 baht) to give you time to prepare your departure.
  15. Not these days. Pattaya is the new Ibiza. ????
  16. If if prostitution is "legalised" (which I somewhat doubt), it certainly won't mean that prostitutes will be allowed to solicit on Beach Road. My guess is that most Beach Road prostitutes have already worked legally in bars, gogos, or massage places and, for whatever reason, now prefer to take to the risk of working on the streets, rather than to be under the management of a bar or Mamasan.
  17. PulseTV has been around for around 8 years in Thailand. It's reliable, fast and, up to now anyway, has great customer service. Like all IPTV providers it's "legality" is a grey area!
  18. It never worked in the previous 30 years, no reason why it should work now. It's all just publicity from the authorities anyway, but never fails in triggering a good thread on the Forum! Rinse and repeat...
  19. Absolutely. Singapore should be treated as a pariah state.
  20. There do seem to have been some changes. My renewal was in January, so maybe the account has changed. The online/chat support is also being "upgraded" which seems to mean out of use!
  21. I've been with PulseTV for 5+ years and renew each year by transferring money into their account as below: Hi *** Your current Viewing Subscription is valid till 13 January. 22. Then why bring it up in a passport renewal thread, and imply that Key Visa had mishandled the process?
  23. There's plenty of ways for them to make money by working legally in bars, karaoke and massage places. I suspect the Beach Road 'girls' prefer the freelance option.
