  1. Well, not quite. It's still necessary to apply for Leave to Remain which is not cheap, plus the requirement for another English test (B1) level and eventually the ridiculous Life in the UK test. It might not be Brexit linked but governments have done their best to make it as difficult and as expensive as possible to settle a foreign wife/partner in the UK.
  2. You're lucky! The minimum time I've had to wait has been 4 days - this time (nearly 14 days) is the longest.
  3. Update. I finally got the approval last night. Submitted the online report on 28 March (due date 30 March) Approval received on 10 April.
  4. I started another thread about online 90-day problems so maybe there a system-wide issue? I didn't get the reminder but applied as normal and got the email confirming receipt - but it's been "pending" for 14 days now... Really annoying as it had been working fine for me for the previous year.
  5. A Settlement / Spouse visa cannot be applied for while in the UK on a Visitor visa. She would have to return to Thailand and apply from there.
  6. Are the online reports handled centrally or by regional offices? To be honest, I'd never thought of calling. In the worst case, I'll have to pay the fine when reporting in person next time, although I will argue my case that they received the report before the due date, and confirmed this, and therefore it's not my fault!
  7. The financial requirements for a UK Settlement visa is either a salary of around £19,000 per annum OR £62,500 in savings.
  8. Yeah, I realised I left it late. I printed off the confirmation of receipt slip and put it in my passport. If I get rejected from applying online in June, I'll take it to Immigration and plead my case!
  9. Previously, my online 90-day reports have been approved within a few days of submission. This time, the application was submitted on 28 March and the email receipt received immediately. However, no approval has been received yet. The 90-day due date was 30 March. If never arrives and I leave it, will I be able to submit the next one online at the end of June?
  10. As you seem to think you're an expert, is it different if she's 20 and he's 50?
  11. I doubt they would use those words. "Underage employees" is easier. The police are fully aware of what soi 6 is all about.
  12. You can meet the financial requirement if you have £62,500 in savings.
  13. Somebody already supplied one, although I don't think it was the one Wiggy was referring to, as it was very old and only about Walking Street. But thanks for replying and sorry to put you out ????
  14. That was in 2019 and is a translated 'sexed-up' article. In any case they were referring to conspicuous places of prostitution like brothels and streetwalkers in Walking Street, not Pattaya as a whole.
  15. Anyone would think all non-bargirl relationships and marriages are perfect! ????
  16. Interesting. Were you taking 10mg or 20mg? I've been on 10mg for 5 years without any side-effects.
  17. Does seem strange. Currently 157 US AQI in Bangkok - worse than Chiang Mai.
  18. I started taking medication for mild hypertension (Madiplot 10mg) when my BP averaged out at around 140/85 (8 years ago). I monitor it regularly at home, and at Bumrungrad once every 2 years, and it's now around 130/75.
  19. Good to see. Would be nice to see other countries doing this, especially Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, USA.
  20. No. It's not a religious holiday.
