  1. You're absolutely right - NZ TV is crap. And I can honestly say that as I am a Kiwi!
  2. FWIW, I thought this was slow, boring and the actors wooden. YMMV.
  3. Appreciate the recommendation for Disclaimer - 2 episodes in and loving it!
  4. The video was published everywhere. The Swiss guy abused the lady and kicked her in the back from behind at night in a dimly lit area. I think in most right people's minds, that's assault. A man kicking a woman from behind, in the back....she didn't even see it coming makes it even worse. To me, that's pretty much unconscionable. In my eyes he's a very nasty man and I really hope the doctor's appeal is successful.
  5. Is the purpose of anemas to relieve constipation? There are a few other strategies you might like to try: - Up your intake of water / fluids. Dehydration is a big cause of constipation. - Try Magnesium Citrate. This form of Magnesium helps to soften the stool. Again, you need to be consuming enough fluids. - It goes against the grain but lowering fibre can help. Some people with dysbiosis (messed up bacteria in their gut) can struggle with much fibre. A lot of fibre can bung those with dysbiosis up. - Viatmin C in high doses like 2000 mg up can help relieve constipation. I hope this helps.
  6. You'll find a new OLED TV will be significantly better than your old plasma - the picture is brilliant on the new OLED TVs and the sound is pretty darn good too, even without a soundbar. FWIW, if you can stretch for a 65 inch, they're even better than the 55 inch. I know it will go against the grain in this thread but I bought a Samsung 65 inch OLED TV 2 years ago and it has not missed a beat. Prior to that i had a Samsung 55 inch 4K TV and that was great too. Gave it away to a friend of the wife to make space for the new one. Obviously, the OP has every reason to be disappointed with his TV conking out after 14 months. My experience with Samsung TVs has been very good so far - and my Mrs has it truend on all the hours that God sends!
  7. Meager is American-English spelling, meagre is British-English spelling.
  8. Yes, it’s legal.
  9. Scam? Sounds like a bargain to me! I'd happily 300 baht to be fast-tracked if the queue was really long!
  10. You are being completely and utterly unrealistic in thinking that the previous owner had to disclose something that you say didn't start until several weeks after he had sold the condo to you. It's a sad situation for sure, but don't blame the previous owner for this.
  11. Are you sure about this? Mrs has an online business with stores on Lazada and Shopee and COD is more like 10%.
  12. Some manufacturers guarantee for 8 years, some for 10 years....and maybe others for different periods. I agree, if 15 years then that would make a purchase worthwhile. But remember, this is a guarantee against battery failure. It's inevitable that range of the battery will reduce over time. A car which started with a range of 400 km on a full battery when new might now only have a range of 200 or 250 km after 7 or 8 years. That kinda sucks, and that does not happen to petrol engine cars.
  13. Most car manufacturers offer a much longer warranty on the battery than they do on the rest of the vehicle. (That said, I wouldn't buy an EV myself!)
  14. While you say some aspects of your relationship are good, it still sounds like there is a lot of drama - and that's not healthy in a relationship. I dated some women in the past for whom their life was filled with drama. My experience with women who you are unable to talk things out with is that this never changes. And if you can't resolve differences by talking them out and coming to some sort of agreement or compromise, what sort of relationship is that? Do you really want to continue to live like that?! Personally, I couldn't stay with someone who I couldn't discuss issues with rationally, and resolve them without drama or theatrics.
  15. Right. And then someone who could likely really use the money misses out on what sounds like it could be a decent part-time job.
  16. Try tea tree oil. Apply it daily, or better still twice daily. It can take several weeks or more to see improvement but it does work.
  17. I thought it wasn't great at all....sort of never really went anywhere.
  18. Perhaps just as valid a question would be: Moving Thai GF to Germany - Fastest options - Divorce in Thailand or Germany
  19. Most people are deficient in magnesium, potassium and quite possibly multiple vitamins. Factor in that vegetarians and vegans are often deficient in the all important B12 and supplementing can be a huge help. Remember, it's quite possible to have a healthy diet but still be deficient in multiple minerals and vitamins - and that is actually the case with most people! A quality multivitamin daily is a simple strategy that can help to fill in any gaps.
  20. Not true at all. New Zealanders who live abroad can apply for the pension and it will be paid in to their overseas bank account. They simply need to meet the requirements to qualify for the pension (which are the same as if they were living in NZ).
  21. Housing is cheap in Thailand. Cars are expensive in Thailand. Food is generally cheaper in Thailand. Services which use local labour are much cheaper in Thailand. Imported brand name clothes are more expensive in Thailand. I could go on - some things are cheaper in Thailand, while some are more expensive. Housing and any services where local labour is the major component of the price are often a fraction of what they'd cost in New Zealand. For me, overall, the cost of living in Thailand is quite a bit cheaper than in New Zealand. Where things are cheaper in Thailand, they are often much, much cheaper.
  22. Might be a bit of a wait. Super Rich rate currently at around 32.5.
