  1. So if my Bangkok Bank account (that I maintain with 800K for visa extension) has no incoming transactions for 2024 then I have nothing to declare ?
  2. How could the Thai taxman get access to your bank details in your home country ? I would quite happily declare that my funds are savings/inheritance but that would be it. If HSBC gave my details to anyone sure they would be in breach of even basic banking regs.
  3. It sounds like the hotels that ask for your passport, then flick through hoping to find you are on overstay. If they do find someone like this, straight on the phone to report and claim a finders fee. It's just another way that Immigration use to get other people to do their jobs.
  4. Budgets to spend and tea parties to be had
  5. The meat counter in Big C Pattaya Klang, especially beef, is way overpriced.
  6. Yes I have a Wise account, have been transferring with them for a few years now. So is it the same sort code etc for Wise that I use when sending funds from my UK bank ?
  7. This could lead to the UK person deciding to move permanently to Thailand and get married. Trouble will come when the UK state pension is due -- The pension will never be increased after the first payment.
  8. How do you set this up with Wise ? Is it the same bank details as when sending a transfer through them ?
  9. Correct The new extension will end on the passport expiry date. After obtaining the extension, apply for a new passport and then get the stamp/s transferred.
  10. "Concerned citizen" Probably the salon over the road
  11. Taking my daughter to school, it's a normal working day.
  12. And if/when they get the 10K handout it cannot be spent on utility bills
  13. Still haven't found the IPA anywhere in Pattaya
  14. They made up for that in 2 days at the Pattaya fireworks. 7/11 couldn't sell drinks fast enough
  15. Yes, 3 months ago it was scan the passport slip and out in 10 minutes. Not any more. And you need to stop one of the 3 girls on the desk from eating to get served
  16. Not for me. I went today and had to fill out the TM47 and supply passport copies. Been doing the 90 day report for 20 years now. Strange thing is that when you get your passport back they still staple in the slip giving the next reporting date, along with the bar code scan
  17. I found some in Big C Sukhumvit
  18. The proposal also includes the responsibility of these establishments to arrange transportation services for such patrons. So would the establishment also pay for such transport, having decided that you should not be driving ? Even if you're not the driver, so passengers can get home as well
  19. During covid some bars charged you 100 baht for a covid test just to allow you into the bar. Will this prove another opportunity for An*tin to provide "official" breathalysers ??
