  1. I suspect as a hero who led from the front lines despite not getting the support he needed from the west in terms of enough military aid. We already know how Putin will be remembered...........
  2. Victim blaming at its finest. Yes whats even more odd is that Russia continues with the slaughter when it could stop with one bark from the dictator, but continues in its relentless killing of civilians..
  3. World leaders condemn Russian attack on nuclear plant World leaders are accusing Russia of endangering the safety of an entire continent after its forces attacked a nuclear power plant and sparked a fire. A fire broke out at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant - the largest in Europe - after it was attacked by Russia. Ukraine's Emergency Services managed to extinguish the fire, which broke out at a building outside the plant's perimeter, but authorities say that Russian troops have seized the plant. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-europe-60532634
  4. Not good news...................tweet from the BBC correspondent in Ukraine Russian military forces have now seized the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine's southeast - local authorities. "Operational personnel are monitoring the condition of power units,"
  5. For somebodies that born and bred in the UK yet still have to ask then its pointless pointing you in the direction of one of the over 600 charities she Patron of, just one area of her work.
  6. Actually my post stated the facts so no need, I'm here discussing Ukraine/Russia/Thailand. Oh and Putin..............
  7. The Iraq war never made it to The UN general Assembly with 140 countries voting against it. Feel free to start an OP on it to discuss further your opinions on it.
  8. B.S. this is about Russia and Ukraine with the vote in the UN general Assembly condemning the aggression by Russia, demanding they stop the invasion and Thailand joining that call, not Iraq
  9. Have no idea what Iraq has got to do with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and the subsequent statements and vote issued by Thailand, Thailand was not forced into anything, over 30 countries abstained, the false narrative by Putin and the Kremlin (aka lies) is well documented. "Ministry spokesman Tanee Sangrat on Thursday said the Kingdom voted in support of a UN resolution condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and demanding Moscow withdraw its forces immediately. The statement said Thailand was “gravely concerned” at worsening hostilities leading to loss of innocent lives, property and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. It said the situation of refugees and those fleeing fighting was particularly worrying and pledged Thailand would “do our utmost in addressing humanitarian needs of the affected citizens, directly and in partnership with like-minded international organizations”.
  10. Fake social media accounts aimed at Ukraine, says Meta The cyber security team at the tech giant -- parent of Facebook and Instagram -- said it blocked a set of Russia-linked fake accounts that were part of a social media scheme to undermine Ukraine. "They ran websites posing as independent news entities and created fake personas across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Telegram and also Russian Odnoklassniki and VK," Meta said in a blog post. In some cases, "they used profile pictures that we believe were likely generated using artificial intelligence techniques." https://news.yahoo.com/fake-social-media-accounts-aimed-054824080.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall
  11. The result of more misinformation being spread.................they are letting black people in. Police in Poland have warned that fake reports of violent crimes being committed by people fleeing Ukraine are circulating on social media after Polish nationalists attacked and abused groups of African, south Asian and Middle Eastern people who had crossed the border last night. Following the incident, police in Poland warned that groups linked to the far right are already spreading false information about alleged crimes committed by people from Africa and the Middle East fleeing war in Ukraine. https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2022/mar/02/people-of-colour-fleeing-ukraine-attacked-by-polish-nationalists
  12. Whats that got to do with your unhinged accusation that I'm more like Putin?
  13. With Europe's largest Nuclear power plant now on fire in the Ukraine due to continued shelling by the Russians a new phase of this war has emerged that not only does Putin not care about missile attacks in residential areas and schools but also is prepared to create a nuclear disaster in a country he is claiming belongs to Russia.
  14. No knee jerk reactions from a paranoid Putin got the whole world into this. If you think I have more in common with Putin then I agree with @ThailandRyan you are unhinged.
  15. Maybe he wants another Chernobyl. Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on Russian troops to stop attacking Europe's largest nuclear power plant after a fire broke out. "If it blows up, it will be 10 times larger than Chornobyl! Russians must IMMEDIATELY cease the fire," Kuleba tweeted.
  16. An important human trait is the ability to empathize with the suffering of others. Its pretty clear that there is a vocal minority on here who lack that basic human emotion.
  17. Covid deaths lag no longer in play with its increasing rates. Since Omicron was reported as 90% dominant middle Jan its more than reasonable to assume that these deaths now are due to Omicron and from yesterdays report they are mostly happening in the still unvaccinated elderly groups. https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/
  18. PCR test positive cases, total of 23,834 official new infections. 54 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 31,571 bringing the total of PCR and ATK results to 55,405 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ OWD rolling 7 day average, cases and deaths https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  19. No country is free of far right groups, will Putin declare war on the rest of the world as well? This madman has already said why have a world when Russia cannot be part of it. Time: MISINFORMATION & DISINFORMATION. Historians on What Putin Gets Wrong About ‘Denazification’ in Ukraine NPR: Putin's claim of fighting against Ukraine 'neo-Nazis' distorts history, scholars say Guardian: Vladimir Putin is himself a fascist autocrat, one who imprisons democratic opposition leaders and critics. He is the acknowledged leader of the global far right, which looks increasingly like a global fascist movement. DW Fact check: Do Vladimir Putin's justifications for going to war against Ukraine add up?
  20. You've just fallen of that fence and landed on the wrong side. An almost perfect description of the not so hidden elements within Russia itself, attacks on gypsies by extremists, Nazi extremist gangs and militia, LBGT persecution throughout Russia. Quite ironic that Russia is home to neo nazi training and it was the destination which the extremists from Sweden went to for training before bombing a refugee center in Sweden. I've not seen Putin declare a war on this within his own homeland. Instead using a false Nazi narrative to justify Russia's unprovoked attack on the Ukraine, a narrative that is seeded by the Kremlin and state media through the the Kremlin troll army. I see your firmly part of that now. The world has woken up to Russia's aggression.
  21. who would have imagined that Russia could ever have overwhelmed Ukraine with its superior military forces! As for a surrender, no, Russia should agree to humanitarian corridors as asked for by Ukraine to allow the refugees to leave safely rather than getting killed, those that want to stay on and fight or die will do so. Either that or Russia should agree to a cease fire and get this sorted by dialog, not murder.
  22. Obviously you're not reading my posts or links either, there is more than one memorial. "most iconic memorials in the park are unscathed" that does not mean all believe it or not. I also clearly see a fire in the museum that was going to be used. As President Volodymyr Zelensky said it was "beyond humanity" and accused the West of not doing enough to prevent the attacks on his country. "What is the point of saying 'never again' for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar? At least 5 killed. History repeating..." he tweeted.
  23. 3 hours ago from the BBC. Babyn Yar: Anger as Kyiv's Holocaust memorial is damaged Staff were initially unable to access the Babyn Yar site to assess the damage. However, it is now known that the most iconic memorials in the park are unscathed. These include a large menorah, newly built synagogue and a monument honouring the Soviet citizens and prisoners of war who died, which is located closest to the TV tower. A museum building which was not yet in use caught fire, and there is damage across the 140-acre site, such as burnt and uprooted trees, the BBC has been told. Speaking directly after the missile attack, President Volodymyr Zelensky said it was "beyond humanity" and accused the West of not doing enough to prevent the attacks on his country. "What is the point of saying 'never again' for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar? At least 5 killed. History repeating..." he tweeted. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60588885
