Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Bkk Brian replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
You point out a 6 day old unconfirmed battlefield report that was also reported on the BBC as being unconfirmed turned out to be just that. Gee thanks. In the meantime the Ukraine advance into Kherson is going well including cutting off Russians supplies with the Antonivsky vehicle bridge and the separate railway bridge having been struck for the third time in 10 days making it currently inoperable. I wonder how far back we need to go to see blatant lies by the Russians? Not far. They initially denied they struck the Odesa Port less than 24 hours after signing the Grain deal to not strike the ports. That piece of propaganda, blatant lies nonsense lasted just a few hours before then admitting it in the face of overwhelming evidence that it was them. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Bkk Brian replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Video of the strikes & aftermath in the article Ukraine steps up attacks on Russian-occupied Kherson A key Russian-held bridge into the occupied southern city of Kherson has been hit with a barrage of rocket fire by Ukrainian forces, who appear to be stepping up operations to isolate the city. Video and witness accounts pointed to up to 18 detonations on the Antonivskiy Bridge over the Dnieper River, one of the main Russian resupply routes into Kherson, with Russian anti-missile air defences apparently failing to intercept the strikes. A second railway bridge upstream was also hit. Filmed standing on one side of the bridge in a flak jacket, Stermousov said: “As you can see the movement over the bridge has been suspended. Indeed, tonight there was a strike by Himars.” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jul/27/ukraine-steps-up-attacks-on-russian-occupied-kherson -
Utter chaos, another fine example of just why this whole thing on June 9th should not have been rushed through before appropriate laws and regulations were in place. "officials jumped the gun by insisting on licenses that don’t actually exist nor were required by law." “That’s exactly the point,” he said. “Welcome to Thailand.”

Justice Dept. investigating Trump’s actions in Jan. 6 criminal probe The Justice Department is investigating President Donald Trump’s actions as part of its criminal probe of efforts to overturn the 2020 election results, according to four people familiar with the matter. That's your opinion not the opinion I stated in my post as it was based purely on the financial aspect of the situation. At no point did I criticise his use of cannabis in fact made it clear its up to him what he does in his own home, got it? If I wanted to make a criticism I would probably have gone to question how he can speak to thousands of customers everyday.....???? but that would have been off topic

Russia says it will quit the International Space Station after 2024
Bkk Brian replied to Scott's topic in World News
Good, all they've been doing recently is misusing it as a prop for their propaganda against Ukraine lately: NASA condemns Russia's use of space station for propaganda -
Not sure what you mean by your question, what specifics did you think I was referring to? The survey report is due around the end of this month according to the link I posted earlier: "Rosanne Casimir said they expect to have a final report at the end of the month about the survey findings at the former residential school."

This from last week, probably best to wait till the end of the investigation later this month: Understanding the process and technology of detecting unmarked graves has become a focus following the shocking announcement by the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation last week. It said that preliminary findings from a survey of the grounds at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School indicate that the remains of 215 children could be buried at the site. On Friday, Kukpi7 (Chief) Rosanne Casimir said they expect to have a final report at the end of the month about the survey findings at the former residential school. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ground-radar-technology-residential-school-remains-1.6049776

Largest monkeypox study to date highlights new symptoms Jul 22, 2022 In the study, authors share many patients are presenting to clinics and hospitals for pain management or difficulty swallowing. Single anal sores have been recorded in several cases. One in 10 people had only a single skin lesion in the genital area, and 15% had anal and/or rectal pain, a symptom not typically seen in other monkeypox outbreaks. A total of 98% of the cases documented were in gay or bisexual men, and while monkeypox is not an STI, per se, the authors said 95% of transmissions documented occurred during sexual relations. Seventy-five percent of case patients are white, and 41% are HIV-positive. https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2022/07/largest-monkeypox-study-date-highlights-new-symptoms
