  2. What's a loogie ? Not everyone understands slang from different cultures, I presume it's an americanism.

  4. Used to get TM6 on the plane if my memory isn't cattle trucked, fill it in and hand it to immigration on arrval & get it back again, then hand it in again at the end of your visit, waste of time IMO.
  5. When I moved here in 2011 I bought a Collins Thai road map with me, makes life so much easier, everything in English.

  7. We have one under the sink, as do many people, nothing strange or unusual in that.
  8. I eat very little Thai food, fortunately the mrs very is good at other stuff. She's very good at Bolognese also Carbonara and a whole host of Western food, she has been known to scour the web and adjust various dishes to our taste. And yes she is Thai.
  9. I've had the same pre paid SIM card since I first got here around about 2005, AIS, never had any connection problems & I've been to each & every province since I settled here in 2011.

  13. My go to is also Betadine, just started a new 30cc bottle, don't know how much it is as she bought it yonks ago, but the smaller one we had for close to 10 years ????

I have a DAB/ radio I brought from the UK when I moved here, it sits in a drawer with the batteries next to it (not connected) very handy when the power goes out, which these days is not often TBH, but when it does I can fire it up and tune into the local FM station till the power comes back on.
  15. Heavy rain, flooded roads, flooded houses & cars, how is stuff going to be delivered to the flooded stores ? How are people going to get from their flooded homes to the flooded stores ? in their flooded vehicles ?? Just a thought.
  16. The usual problem, to much concrete on what used to be forest or grassland, the soil would soak it up ( to a certain extent ) now no soil to soak it up, just more buildings & concrete, so you get run off, which people don,t like.
