  1. I keep seeing this 200,000 baht and cant seem to find any corroborating information. If indeed it is true is it could be a set up. How many ladyboys have assaulted foreigners and got away with a 500 baht fine?
  2. I love the sarcasm. If this is all factual, meaning a "foreigner" inappropriately touched a female in Walking St, then she reports it to the RTP and there is now talk of 200,000 baht fine, not sure the legitimacy of that but, isn't it going open up the floodgates to similar situations?Easy money?
  3. If its irrelevant why do the RTP almost always publish the name and nationality and sometimes even a picture? Very Odd?
  4. "As a result, the suspect had been reportedly identified, charged, and detained at the Pattaya police station as of press time. His name and nationality were not revealed to the press pending the police investigation," Normally the first thing the police do is state the nationality and name of the alleged perpetrator? Why I wonder is this being withheld?
  5. Totally agree. There is always some moron who wants to inject their political agenda, where there is no ethereal connection!
  6. So if he did touch her "inappropriately" as alleged, what will his sentence be? An apology, a fine, or deportation?
  7. "His details were recorded and the tourist police contacted the Singaporean embassy to deflect the negative press for Thailand" That what Thailand doesn't need is more negative press?????
  8. Even with manual doors the inner door should not open unless the elevator is there surely, isnt there some kind of safety device?
  9. Have to agree with you. All foreigners, even all Brits are not drunken morons, most of them are actually OK! If this had been a drunk Thai man it probably would not have even been in the news! Now having said that if this guy is found guilty in court he should have the book thrown at him!
  10. Whilst you are correct and I agree with your sentiment, if Thai person did a similar thing in Germany, or France or the USA or really anywhere in the west, I cant imagine the local law enforcement turning up to warn him or her off.
  11. Many people would think that 80-100 thousand baht a month for being a gardener is too good to be true, as is the case here. Sadly there are people who trust others to do the right thing and get taken in by ruthless agents.
  12. "Here we go again. The 2 Farangs were obviously drunken so they are the culprits, Van driver innocent, Case closed no further investigation needed." Maybe you should go and work for the RTP? You would fit in well? Until a full crash investigation has taken place, nothing is obvious!
  13. Why does it seem to be Indians and ladyboys in some sort of altercation all the time, surely there are other people getting robbed or pick pocketed, or maybe only Indians report the alleged crime?
  14. You make a fair point, but it will never happen, even if it did , it would be unenforceable cos too many folks do it!
  15. Correct, but you are thinking logically? Remember its in Thailand!????
  16. Originally he was on Interpol s Red list in 2020, but his name magically disappeared?
  17. From Food mart, bus station to Suvarnabhumi is 143 baht, to Don Muang is not twice the distance, so yes expensive, for a bus!
  18. Well I'm shocked!! Not really its just a misunderstanding?? ????????
  19. I have seen a similar thing happen in Singapore, when Thai girls or Filipinas try to enter at immigration.
  20. Indeed, what have the Chinese got that the rest of the foreigners haven't?
  21. I would certainly agree with you as I left on Thursday to go to Singapore and had a similar experience.
  22. Wait till the Chinese quality tourists come back later this year, TAT will be very happy!????
