you are indeed a one quote wonder incapable of seeing the big picture.

which is why this time it is different and man-made.

you don't appear to be able to interpret a graph and then contradict your self. MMCC is largely due to chemical processes. These processes started in UK with the industrial revolution. You don't seem to understand that Global warming is GLOBAL and not national - you also don't seem to have any concept of how incredibly complicated the effects are around the world - just spouting off dates and temperatures shows little understanding of the reality of the situation.\ The actual chemistry of MMCC was first identified towards the end of the 19th century. A long term study of this has proved the theory right in scientific terms (I'm expecting you to illustrate you don't know the difference between a scientific theory and that word in everyday use). I find it hard to believe that someone in this day and age can be so obtuse and uninformed - unless they are trolling?

I have to cut and paste your answers to my computer - no-one is going to believe that a fossil like you still exisits - I expect you don't know wat a fossil this though.do you?

OMG! - Of CORSE it is cherry-picking - the science for global warming goes back millions of years to estableish differences between the current situation and historic or prehistoric climate changes. I blame the film Day after Tomorrow" - people can't tell the difference between science and a movies.

"facts" - I don't think you really understand w=even the basics of an argument do you? You are wrong on so many levels.... Your premise is hopeless - you are using some temperatures picked at random about Thailand and then trying to make a general conclusion of GLOBAL climate change. You don't understand any of it do you?
-
It is sad that you don't realise the huge flaws and shortcomings of that argument.

OP - your post shows. profound lack of understanding of climate change, the Thai climate and the fact that "global warming" is already here.. you need to research the possible effects that it will have on the climate in Pattaya..The "norm" is and increase in climate extremes - e.g. drier/hotter/wetter/colder. rises in sea level my affect the Gulf and BKK - this will affect property prices and the elephant in the room is te pollution and concomitant smog from the industrial areas of Chonburi and Rayong exacerbated by the rampant development of the EEC.

Chiang Mai Air Quality and Pollution
kwilco replied to Cheesekraft's topic in Air Pollution in Thailand
Not in the Pattaya region. The haze in Pattaya was pretty evident in March this year and that may well have been due to smoke from crop burning and forest fires in the central and northern region. The now notorious seasonal haze in Thailand extended as far South as Pattaya and Prachuap on the other side of the Gulf this year. This is a combination of crop burning and later, forest fires. Chonburi and surrounding provinces are relatively unforested themselves. There is a certain amount of crop burning. Forest fires are largely man made . The problem for the provinces I mentioned is mainly industrial pollution that comes from the huge industrial estates surrounding Pattaya and the coast. This is a year round problem that again depends on the weather and other factors for intensity. The pollution is more that just particulates....it affects air, water soil and sea. The disposal of waste is a major concern Locals have been protesting against poorly regulated industrial pollution for decades. At one point 65 factories at Map Ta Put were closed down for several years due to shortfalls on emissions regulations. There have been several explosion disasters and oil slicks too. -
Not minimal, just not enough... Germany's power production from renewable energy rose in 2022, but it is still below the threshold needed to reach the target of generating 80% of electricity from renewables by 2030, the Environment Agency said on Monday. Renewable energy is expected to account for around 46% of German power consumption this year, up from 41% a year earlier, the agency said in its annual report. - Reuters https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/germanys-2022-renewable-power-production-rises-still-behind-2030-target-2022-12-11/

Pollution in Pattaya is primarily from the industrial estates in Chonburi, Rayong and Chachoengsao. And its gonna get a lot worse! -
Car air conditioner - Recharge gas.

Dan Auto are good and reliable. They rebuilt an aircon system for me, so I guess they will top up too. however they would also recommend someone if they can't do it. they are here.... https://goo.gl/maps/yj4GwAmMnu9japdG8 Is there a B-Quik on Samui? -
at least you recognise your limitations. I've driven both sides of the road and both sides of the vehicle for most of my life. But why only one day??? The great thing about having the car is being able to get about a bit and see another country.. i've covered most of Laos in a vehicle.... it's certainly no worse than driving in Thailand, the traffic in general is much lighter.

Not sure if you understand my post. I don't think telling Thai people they are bad drivers helped one little bit. however an intelligent conversation about road safety might. I see little sign that many people on this thread understand even the basics of road safety and I don't see any sign that you are offering comfort to the bereaved.
