Recently on another thread a couple guys posted experience with thai people masking up as they walked by then demasking. The 5 taxis in a row at the taxi que at terminal 21 who refused my thai wife and I fares is a story I share with every interested American contemplating a trip to Thailand. I also tell them about the choking air during high season, the trash just tossed on the mostly unwalkable for elderly sidewalks each afternoon. I also tell them how deadly the roads are and the crosswalks dont mean anything. I tell everyone to boycott redbull and the full story. I tell them about the corruption at every corner. I tell them about the fake beggars on the dirty streets. For a country so dependant on tourism you would be smarter how they treat tourists.

The value of solar spotlight wattage compared to the old system
Elkski replied to billd766's topic in The Electrical Forum
I have never used these large rated somar lights. All the small ones ive seen look so dim its not really a light but my mom does have a few that look like a flame fie a couple hours most nights. Im a fan and installer of low voltage lighting using LED bulbs. 1 300 watt transformer can run 20 12 watt lights. 80% of 300 is recommended. Some of these pathway lights are only 3 watts. Led replacement bulbs run 7 watts and look like 60 watt bulbs and they now make 12 v versions that use the E26 base. So you can switch your old 220v lamps to 12v. I should add that this Chinese co is selling 12v lights on Amazon named sunvie. They are very low cost and i have installed about 40 amd they are working well adter 4-5 months. I did take the lens out and added silicon caulk to the glass sealing surfaces because no way are they rated ip65. This nearly tripled the cost i charged but still under 15$ each light. I've been using landscape lights and LED ones since their early days. They have come a long way. One additional feature about LED landscape lights, specifically these Sunvie, is they onky use 5v for the lights. So they work with 10.5 volts. Maybe lower. Usually your supposed to keep the wire voltage drop to less than 5% . Even 3%. But I have a long run installed with 9 12 watt spots. The voltage drop on this 12 guage wire is right at 2 v. Just tidied up some wiring a few days ago and all is working fine. With the incandescent, or halogen bulbs you couldn't do this with out having to tap up to a higher voltage to keep the end of string lights on. This put extra volts on the close lights and shortened their life. -
The value of solar spotlight wattage compared to the old system

650 watt solar spotlight. Thats as much power as a small microwave. Watt equivalent amd battery Ahrs will help you determine gow ling it will run. You need to think in terms of lumens. 800 to 1000 lumens is starting to be pretty much light but only for a short distance like 4- 5 meters. -
Euthanizing your dog at home yourself

Put in s box thats pretty sealed up. Use shop vac hose from ICE vehicle exhaust to the box. Leave the area in case there is some sounds or movements. 10 mins should be ok. My city used to do to it this way. I have done this on healthy racoons recently. -
So it is happening to others. I agree they are trying to de roboticize the speech patterns. Also logging any tidbits of information you may give. I asked one fir a sexy pic and that ended the conversation. Now i wished i didnt delete all these conversations. I think Elin is correct in being worried about AI. I read they can emulate voices so you can have a bot with a family members voice call asking for money.

Loan sharks circle in: 65 year old business owner seeks refuge in Chon Buri

Thailand in a nutshell -
Fishing for texas crappie, limit 25, over a legal baited xmas tree deinking a beer is great fun until you have ro fillet 50 fish. That's what 12v electric knives were made for. Flyfishing for giant bluegill on Pelican lake back in the day when you could catch 1-2 11". Yes fish can have " shoulders" . The May cattails only out of the water 1" was the oerfect rime to hit it so your fly won't snag. Using your own hand tied frog popper patterns. You can fish with your eyes closed. Cast, pop it, pop it, hear a swupe! And set the hook. Kite on! I have memories of bowfishing late at night in a small texas waterway (slugh) in a small 10' jon boat. Bottle of tequila for two of us head lamp and a late night of fun. Bringing a gar home taller than my wife. Leaving a dozen carp on a buddies driveway at 2 am for fun. Fishing is a sport that unless you pay for a guide requires much learning and many hand skills. Patience which is a dying human trait. Knot tying, Butchering, Cooking. Sad you guys are so proud to proclaim your ignorance in such a broad subject

Sad so many of you didn't learn to fish with your father. Stating you dont like fishing is like saying you dont like music, art, or food. There are hundreds of ways to fish and more species than that. My wife loves it. She really loves ice fishing I think because not much sun exposure, and most times we are very successful. Its also not very social as she doesn't like crowds. I enjoy kick boating down the Green Sec A flyfishing and hope to take her next year. I also enjoy the most simple method of small hook and weight with a worm. Fishing in a beautiful mountain stream with fresh air and rarely a biting bug. I also have had some incredible 5 day live aboard fishing trips to Guadalupe Island and other deep sea fishing trips. The story how I caught the only sail fish ever in the history of a large diving live aboard company just at the edge of the 9k dropoff near Bimini on the crossing back to Florida that delayed the boat for 2 hours is to long for this post. But sourcing good balliho bait was harder to score than cocaine and had me miss one island departure.

After your demise, would you like to be incarnated?

I often think i want to he a well loved and cared for pet dog in USA. Its now expected to take your dog for all the medical treatment people get. Hip replacements, cancer treatments, etc are all the norm. Special dog food, bedding, they even get to go to home depot, looks like a good life. Hopefully I have a sexual partner. -
They are not married? Maybe one of bis other women was the cause of him wanting his name off the lease. Maybe if was because he knows there is risk. He thought it was important enough to ask to change the lease and have his own lawyer set it up. Did your lawyer read the lease? He sounds like a pretty astute business man. Bring your best poker game.

Chinese Tourist Exposes Nana Area as Potential Danger for Women
Elkski replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
This was us. They gave us the best seat in the house at crazy horse. The round table at the bottom of the stairs. Haven't got her inside a bar at soi cowboy since. Thailand and even some of you proud expats take any negative comment or suggestions of improvement so personally. The protesters and thai people want freedom but them complain about something so trivial as this. Its quite possible this blogger pulled some punches. I bet if her photographer was acting separate she had lots of cat calls and if she stood still for 1 minute in many areas i bet she had takers. I bet the man didn't just ask how (much) she was. I dont like that center part or her hair dye color but if I was one of those guys she would stand out as a top pick. Thailand needs to admit there is prostitution or stop it. How van mia nois be so accepted just by a persons weakth or starus by such a large % of the population, etc. -
Undercover Raid Busts Tomboy Bar: 18 Tourists Found with Purple Urine
Elkski replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Never saw this. But on the ferry to koh Samui there was one who looked like a boy from oliver twist with an amazingly beautiful, woman. This woman was in a very feminine but classy flower patterned old fashioned dress. I mean this gal was one i could hardly avoid staring at while we all sat in the chairs during our crossing. I was told the Toms like this are usually wealthy. PS, i thought they have these quick read test strips that turned purple for like 14 drugs. -
Im addition i seem to be getting lots more phishing emails. They seem to be getting more real.

In the last 6 months I've had 3 or 4 inquiries from strangers on the line app and a couple on texts. My mother has had a couple on her line. I was shocked she actually carried on a conversation with one of them. A perfect victim , a lonely 85 yr old new widow. On line it starts with, "do we know each other? I found you on my line contacts list." The 3 I actually chatted a bit with said they were living on the West Coast of USA. All 3 Asian. Two of them projected being wealthy through pictures of food, shopping or just said so. All 3 sent pictures, 2 had profile pictures of attractive Asians with what i call a korean pop star surgical look. Small chin, nose, maybe fixed eyes. Quite attractive, if you like the current pop icon look. English was very good. They never asked for anything. Probably long game. They seemed to lose interest if i requested a proof photo, like a picture with todays paper or my old Thai friendly standard, holding an upside down coke can. The last one and I were conversing on a technical 4 step deck coating process I was having real World issues with. Outdated bad initial product, box elder bugs landing during The 18 hour fly paper stage, temperatures etc. this is when i figured it was an AI bot. Just to robotic sounding. When i accused it of being a AI bot the chat stopped. Has anyone else encountered this? This is picture of the first 1. I think she said 37. moved to USA with family a dozen years ago from Singapore. Had a maid, pictures of fancy take out meal she had with her maid. She admitted to having lots of suiters but worried they were just after her money. 2 of them talked about investing and retiring early. I actually asked for investment advice thinking that was the scam but the one didn't bite. The others looked so similar I had to closely compare photos. I finally decided there are folks out there trying to teach their AI programs by conversing with real people. Possibly developing reationships over time for some furure scam. Or seeding a scan tool on your device. Any ideas. And yes I would do them.

Thailand issues recruitment scam alert for assistant teacher gigs
Elkski replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You have to admit 300k baht would be hard to beat. Was this an assistant or teaching position? Plus the directors can get kickbacks on all work done on the school grounds. They get a wad of cash from the financial office (100k in my direct experience) for those sport days and its easy to pocket some of that. And iv6e heard they can keep any difference between budget for foreign teacher and salary actually paid. -
Thailand issues recruitment scam alert for assistant teacher gigs
Elkski replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Im not quite sure i understand this? Factions? I was aware that teacher and School director jobs had a bribe cost if you wanted to move to a better location. But now they are saying the tests for assistants are changed to make it easier to select candidates feom certain factions? And they will be checking validity of advanced degrees? Only in Thailand. -
Even in the village, a amall one maybe 50 houses, wifes family try to never leave the house unattended. They worry someone may walk in and take things. There are known drug dealers and i guess people are afraid to turn them in. There is a benefit for having the old dog with a rep for biting strangers. I would think UT would be boring at 3am.

Not sure what it will do but kicking myself for not buying a Bitcoin at 13,xxx . A total loss wouldn't hurt but if it really pops someday I would be a part of it. My concern is it takes to much energy to maintain, to few transactions available, plus it has zero intrinsic value. Good luck for those in it. Musical chairs
