Just spring for the freakin' Ben and Jerry's!
Elkski replied to Jingthing's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I don't each much ice cream but I have 2 thoughts on ice cream to share. I was slightly distracted this close to NYE . After my ice cream craving due to this thread subsided. Thoughts of moms homeade ice cream hand chuned by dad circa 1965 . Think the cleavers/Simpsons. Tall hairdue, pinnacle club as an excuse to rotating parties with tall hair, smoking as wide bar choices. Coors was bootlegged elsewhere. and Schlitz was a thing. To my limited knowledge of B&J I think they were hippies who took a good idea and made it big. Lots of converts and pot and what else. Business exploded and they succeeded. Now some claim they are "woke". But I need a definition along with that word. Political company? Have you seen the donor lists? I think what these wise men's companies or their stance is where I aide until I further we investigate this topic. 2nd story. My wife's god mother who, after the war asked if her and husband could clean out a chicken coop to live in. Well her dad owned 5 original shared of Bluebell. In about 1985 the dividend on these xx,000 shares after splitscand things was over 100k/ month and the family was offering 2x price to buy it back. Wow what a hard working lady till she died. -

MY I suggest a leviron smart wall wartnif weather proof location . Uses wifi so needs a good signal. Can control ON times based on actual sunset sunrise times. And via smart phone app and can with with apple home kit and other voice systems like alexa. I install these as well as lutron. Luton has an outdoor switch short extension cord wifi switch. But it needs a bridge. I am not sure what's sold for 240v in Thai8

Trying to see how long I can revel in this isaan weather and I get hacked to a buffalo thread. I do bet some buffalo in Thailand get more wife attention and affection than western men get.

Useing solar power to pump water for rice fieilds.
Elkski replied to kickstart's topic in Farming in Thailand Forum
Bro I'm law has impression DC pump is weak (he makes slow sound) AC pump strong. How much head is usual for a storage tank above sprinkler system? 35 psi is what 15 m? I'm further wondering about using a separate booster DC pump to assist the gravity system. It could be low head high flow I think. TIA. -
Useing solar power to pump water for rice fieilds.

I'm interested in solar pump from pond to watering system or maybe better pump to tank then gravity feed to field. In order for your replies on this thread to have any meaning please include the pump HP or wattage, current x voltage, head max, flow rate at a couple head values or picture of the flow curve, pipe length and diameter. Next to wife's Rai they have planted 5 Rai palm, 10 m stacking offset grid at 5m. They pump full length of field, 180-200m store in water tank up maybe 6-8 m from pond, very rough guess, I was told only 1" pipe all the way, not sure poly or PVC, the solar array looks to be 3x4m so maybe what 1600 watts? Would this be enough for 200 palms? Theft is a real issue as they must being buffalo home, scooter in the kitchen, teens take mature pot plants, etc. As you can see the pas newly planted, no drip system yet so they don't know if design is going to work. I'm interested in a 1/5 smaller scale system for cassava and one for durian. -
7 Airlines To Slash Airfares By Up To 20% From Jan. 2023
Elkski replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Lax- BKK was 780usd ersly Dec - mid to late Jan RT. That's as low since 2016. ANA cattle class. Pretty cute and hard working staff. It's fun to watch the line crews follow hand signal routines during equipment checks. Chalks and hitch pins. Gas crew does a post van inspection when they arrive. Then inspect gas truck with all this around and around with hand waving and pointing. I guess shuttle cars needcti be ready to jump in without pre inspection. -
Samsung music plays via audio. It's ver 1.6.0.1 I read in a sync vin check. Said not updatable. So a real early version and they probably added much needed RAM. I suppose some % but aftermarket stuff but I prefer decent factory stuff but I don't play loud.
-
Scanning for updates now. No updates avail it appears. I can play audio from my phone so American music. Yeah. But don't understand this mobile app thing. I was thinking I could run any app from my phone and it would play. Google maps, YouTube etc?
-
Yes they have good home wifi. I have changed it to English. I didn't know I could use wifi. Got wifi connected. And my phone. No mobile apps found. Loaded synchronize app on phone but no way to register my email? Don't see how to install updates if any via WiFi. I'm looking at it. I have read to update you need to run engine for maybe 25 mins? Bseems it can only use my phone. I don't see how to do update using wifi

I'm visiting mom in isaan with the wife. Bro in law asked to help him begin to use his sync . I'm totally new to this as my USA vehicles are old. I did check and no updates are available. His version seems to have a low number but maybe each year or series starts at ver 1. It is ver f1.6.0.1 Just thought I'd ask here for help. Does he need to register as a customer at a Ford website in Thailand? Do I need to load ranger apps on my or his phone? I surmise that it uses your phone signal syncing via Bluetooth to run gos apps or calling apps. Manual is not quickly available so I am not sure what steering wheel buttons do what.

Some take illegal drugs or drink and drive and so often I read posts about how they like this lawless country and ability to buy out of trouble and don't like their nanny European country. Short term rentals are here to statvin this World. -
Jomtien condo bookings for 1 week - weird messages from owners

Wow such crazies. I'm guilty as charged -
Seems the story should have included "the officers called parents or guardians to come pick up!". Or your child will be in detention center tomorrow.

I'm nearby and it appears alcohol selling times are not a rule that's followed. I would have to expected deug tests at the bar. I bet that bar owner is in trouble with some of the parents. Why no mention as to what happened to all the minors? I would think they couldn't legally let any kids drive home?

3 in 1 Printer - Epson L360 has died, need new printer
Elkski replied to hotandsticky's topic in IT and Computers
May I ask what died on your Epson l 360? Lots of YouTube's showing how to clean the heads, download troubleshooting software etc. I enjoy fixing things like this. Not only because I am a cheap charlie. But better than more waste stream plus I feel good about not donating to excessive corporate profits. An example is I needed a new printer because my old one was real old , basic and so slow. I bought a used hp 6500a pro at the thrift store. It fed paper at the test bench and also worked at gome for a week then stopped input feeding. Googled and seemed like a gear on the shaft breaks free. To get to this part is almost a complete teardown but some German hacked it by grinding a 2"x2" access hole in the bottom. I did it and put some epoxy to glue the gear to the shaft and it works fine. I did need to order an output tray on ebay for 20$ so 35$ and 30 min fix and I have 350$ printer. I also have found some aftermarket ink cartridges that really work well for real cheap, I've ordered them 2 times. I tried getting them refilled locally but they didn't last very many pages and 2x the kid forgot to reset the chip inside. E-Z Ink (TM) Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for HP 920XL 920 for use with Officejet 6500 6500A 6000 7000 7500 7500A E709 Printer Tray (2 Black, 1 Cyan, 1 Magenta, 1 Yellow, 5 Pack) https://a.co/d/bfdEwgz New spec carriages are like 80$ -

Was the danger sign in the universal language? Which is not Thai. Glad no injuries or deaths in the rescue. Surprised no name and pictures with finger pointing. -

Costs of a premarital agreement in Thailand
Elkski replied to Dusit99's topic in Marriage and Divorce
I don't think in 2023 time frame it's fair to think a prenup portrays a lack of trust. It's just plain smart. 50% end in divorce. Do you bet it all on the roulette wheel. Red or black? -
It's a 3 hp Arnold. It was just a tad shy of watering all the side lines. One far slightly uphill was a bit weak. There are a few leaks we can fix but a tad more head would be desired. It's about 50 durian planted 2 close together. Main line is 2" and 60 meters with 1" poly sidelines. Each has a valve but easiest to run them all at same time.
