....hard cider has grown to a huge market globally. Stella Artois has their "Cidre." And "Angry Orchard" in USA has kept pace.
Angry Orchard - what a great name!

Ahhhh Mother's milk, raised on strongbow being a Hereford lad.
Hampshire and west country for me! Love the stuff, but not overly impressed by this version. Shame. So refreshing in this climate. My favourite is Thatchers.

It's been on the shelves for about two months now. Personally I don't think it tastes much like the original Strongbow, as it's sweeter. Must be brewed locally for that price.

I travel abroad often (including Japan) and never been asked for a PIN when using Thai credit cards (KBank, Bank of Ayudhaya, Citibank). I've only ever been given one PIN for these cards (for cash advance), which presumably is the one I would use if asked. The UK is always a signature.

That's not a shipping container. It is way too high and the metal looks too thin. Shipping containers are made of steel. Would be good if it reopened though. Some good memories there.

They're waiting for the outcome of the police investigation.
Indeed, but that is dragging it's feet as witnesses seem hard to come by. I hope he can play as it will be a big loss to the side without him. Silly boy.

He wasn't even selected, so I think it's very unlikely.

A foreign expat versus a foreign tourist perhaps.
Fair comment.

Foreign Expat - either or please, as it can’t be a Thai Expat.

Good on the lawyer for speaking up. Let's hope the truth is uncovered.

Most expats here will try to find a negative in anything. If you're fearful you know where Suvarnabhumi is, no fear they won't stop you leaving.
Why can't expats have negative views?

Yes, of course all those that join will be the same and the extra B50 will apply for those booking online.
Drivers who want to participate in the “Taxi Ok” project must not have criminal records, and their taxis must not be older than two years and be registered as public transportation. Once accepted, they must install a GPS tracking device in their car, CCTV camera, and an emergency button that will send a signal from the passenger to the app center.
I suppose you can find something wrong with those requirements also?
Nope, can’t find anyone wrong with those. If all those requirements are made and upheld I’ll be impressed. Can you point out where it mentions them in the original article?
-
70,000 taxis expected to join - that's about the total number in Bangkok. So, all will be the same but for an extra 50 baht. Amazing Thailand.

Very apt name for the motorcycle.

I don't want to appear callous, but you may want to try and distance yourself from this. Of course, you can offer your friend moral support, but my advice would be to not be with her when she's with the family or police. As soon as they see you the $ signs will appear in their eyes and you'll be involved. I suggest she leaves Pattaya. Her conscience is clear as it's seemingly not her fault. Don't get tangled up in this.

No, really? Well, I'm glad the academics are on the ball as I never would've worked that out for myself. They're worth every penny.
Thanks to all the academic boffins out there.

AFAIK, smoking isn't illegal there. At least, I've never heard of anyone getting fined for smoking outdoors. Dropping cigarette butts on the ground is what gets foreigners fined on Sukhumvit.
That's what I meant. My apologies for neglecting to highlight that. The charge was littering, not smoking.
-
I can almost guarantee not one Thai person will be fined. It's likely to be the same as when it was enforced in Bangkok, particularly outside Emporium. Litter bins were removed and I personally watched Thais (well, Asians) walking and smoking right under the noses of the Thessakit without any penalty. Those with white faces weren't so lucky, however. I hope I'm proved wrong.

Hi. Looks like a good job.
I forgot to post what I did; in the end time prevented me from going there. I took the wheel to Honda (where I bought the car) and they sent the wheel off. A week later and 2,000 baht and it came back looking like new. I forgot to ask where they sent it, but it was in Samut Prakarn. Might well be the same place.

That's a bit harsh.

Aircon on, but drawing air from outside rather than recirculating cabin air should fix it.
You should have a selector for that.
I just can't do that in Bangkok. The cabin gets full of diesel fumes and other unpleasant odours.

IIRC, a small vent on each end of the dashboard on my Ford Focus was fixed in the direction of the side windows and also on the Civic I now have. Good for temperate climates, but not in the tropical climate we have here. My side windows often fog up. I have to raise the internal temperature to resolve it, but I can't do much more as the vents cannot be redirected, which is a bit of a design flaw.

You do have the A/C set to bring air in from the outside and not recirculate....?
Difficult in Bangkok, Trans. The outside air is so polluted it would probably cause CO poisoning. Lol.
