Hi Joe W and others Well an update on on this smart Queue and yes was most of yesterday afternoon speaking on Fb site in Kanchanaburi and wow cut to the chase there is a problem with the foreign drivers license on the system and managed to give my personal details and accepted but when going in to it again did not like my correct password. LOL they gave me a site in English to log on to. However, they asked where are you and can you come in and was stating about the medical certificate and has to be within one month but they have no idea how long the queue is.!!! Well am deciding when I can to go in and they stating as much and getting stuff together and printing passport photo and current visa, present license and Thai id card. Yes they also stated if you can't come in wait until the problem is fixed and then I asked how long is the queue and no idea!! So gang those who have got your licenses and pleased for you and yes 22nd May seems long way away but it seems no choice but still no guarantee and asked if they put a note on the computer. Yeah well

Thanks Alan and yeah surprise surprise the smart system has been down and been talking to a lady most of the afternoon and still not completed it. It looks likely having to go to Kanchanaburi dlt in April cos we need it,

Yes, one needs to have this and do the DLT have standard form or can my local clinic produce one. My license expires 22nd May 2022 and think one can have one dated one month before but can someone advise me, if different and I suppose it depends on which DLT office one uses and mine is Kanchanaburi. Could go in but can not see anything but a good drive away but one still has to have an appointment for the colour and reflex test. Thanks all

Quick last question the doctors certificate can a local clinic do one or is there a standard form and not sure how long one is vlid for and so many thanks again all,

Thanks JoeW and others too Yes many thanks for your help and yes got a print out c/o one of my Granddaughters (they know so much more on technical problems etc lol) and yes will go in to the office in April and yes take it the new one runs from the birthday ie 22nd May but the certificate valid for 6 months but no queue number. Quoting my passport number so will just go in in April and will let you know lol when successful and yes like other things ie extensions etc we all on edge until it is done and stamped.

Hi Formaleins Just an update and one of my Granddaughters who is much more proficient than me but she had to put in her email but managed to print a copy out and yes as you say I think a visit to my local DLT Kanchanaburi office to obtain my appointment date and not sure about the doctors fit to drive certificate and believe it has to be within one month and not too sure and did read it somwhere I managed to do it via the passport number option after passing. Thanks for your help but must make sure I do not lose this and perhaps take a couple of copies. Best John

Joe I managed to get in and yes just passed and the video and stating passed and quoting my passport number and you can download this and save the certificate and mentioning about queue number, though there is not one and at moment can not download or screenshot to a mobile but could to my one drive on my computer. How does one print this off and still think you have to go in to DLT with it for an appointment. Is this correct and thanks

Still all the sites can not get in and it seems we all have to go to DLT in my case Kanchanaburi.

I have had this issue for over a week and frankly I do not think it available to non thais but it appears we will have to go in personally to the DLT only tp be told you have toe register and pass the test thought think like in the good ole days can watch the video and test at their offices.

Yes indeed Formaleins I am getting the exact same and yeah there is a foreigners section and having the same messages. My local office is Kanchanaburi and seriously thinking of going in there in person and have read of a Thai managing to pass etc and got an appointment and the foreign partner decided to go along but he could not. Yes seriously thinking of going in personally in April but yes in this crazy world even the simple things in life is such a headache. EVERYTHING and no such thing as personal contact and this true throughout the world. My 5 year one runs out at the end of May and they want us to drive around without a license and we all know many of the Thais don't have. SO LOL when pulled over by the police "We just say I have registered to tried to get a renewal" and they will just shrug their shoulders and say 500 Baht. I normally have my Thai wife with me but even then one would probably get a fine. amazing stuff and not just this issue.

My 5 year Thai car drivers license matures on 22nd May 2022 and can not get in to the vidoe for e-learning. I assume will have to take a trip to DLT HQ in Kanchanaburi Anyone else having so much trouble but confirming it seems Smart Queue is not really available for foreigners

dlt-elearning.com is not working and can foreigners use this site to renew a 5 year Thai car license and think one has to view a 1 hour video and does one have to make an appointment at the DLT office. Conflicting reports. Thanks

Yes tbf some do know what is going on in the world but not much and ask the students and you will get a blank look and yes so many just know what is happening in Thailand, if any. Oh and this current pandemic!! A bit harsh perhaps?

If they want to get in they will and always makes me laugh about padlocks lock inside and it makes people one is in the house and same with sandels outside, though this is a very Thai thing.

Terrible but stated before extended family members lie through their teeth when a substantial loan but stating it was a gift and families money. Same principles indeed but the guilty ones have property and drive top of the range cars. Yes, they may well be lucky but yes watch out for extended family members and have the cheek to give you a wai at funerals!!!
