There's nothing "progressive" about PT. They're just seen as "the people's party" by some because of their populist policies that do something for the poor. In reality PT has always been a mechanism for Thaksin to gain power so that he can enrich himself. The pleasing of the poorer people of Thailand was simply to gain and hold on to power. Simply paying the poor to vote for you doesn't make you progressive. It is defined as: "Progressive ideas or systems are new and modern, encouraging change in society or in the way that things are done".

Move Forward party stands firm on taking House speaker’s post

Surely the most important thing is who has the right to it? "Need" doesn't mean a lot. -
He made it up because it isn't true. I think I know my thoughts and opinions more than some random internet person. How on Earth is "Haha, your junta's gone, you're a junta fanboy" not an attack on the person? You're going to claim that that is some sort of well reasoned argument? He claimed that, but it isn't true. It isn't, that's the whole point. Saying "you're only saying that because you like the junta" would absolutely be an ad-hom and not relevant to the details of the post. Attack what is being said, not the person saying it, otherwise it's meaningless.

Hard to know exactly what is going to happen. Could be that the "negotiations" will lead to Pita being allowed to be PM if he agrees to certain restrictions, or it could be that this is not given the go-ahead and something else will occur. The only certainty is that nothing is certain. As is usually the rule, if you have to make things up, attack the person, etc., it indicates you cannot form a valid argument. This appears to be true for you here.

"The people are your masters Listen to them" Nice idea, but I don't think that it is true. -

It's cultural. The person who causes another to lose face is always the one in the wrong. -

It would mean a little more if they had some figures that were a little more significant. A slight blip after the biggest holiday in Thailand, then a slight blip after kids going back to school is expected and acceptable. Without huge outbreaks in schools to indicate a real problem, no one is going to care. Nor should they. The message should be "You're doing a great job. Keep it up". Unless they have some sort of ulterior motive. -
He most certainly is not alone. It would be really weird for a 17 year old to be running the show. Perhaps his job is to recruit the girls and liaise with the punters as his youth puts them at ease. (And possibly he is young and impressionable enough that "Mr. Big" can get him to do whatever he wants, including taking the wrap.)

Move Forward party optimistic of positive response from senators

Isn't political conflict good? We want politicians constantly challenging each other on both sides, surely? To hold each other accountable and ensure that policy is well thought out and debated? -
They'll be anti-establishment while they think it will help them get what they want, then fully pro-establishment once they have succeeded. Basically they are "pro-what-they-want". This is why most political/ideological movements should be treated with a huge amount of scepticism. Especially those that talk about "the greater good" or "the will of the people".

Now there's a character. I seem to remember he had a brother. He sold frying pans. Can't remember his name though... ????
