Why would it be weird or deflective to suggest that you need to think about the American tariffs when asking about the Chinese tariffs? As I said, use your brain a little.

Actually, the tribalism that makes people so mad about Trump means that when he leaves power, if a Dem is voted in, then everyone will likely forget everything that Trump did, as the Dems have been criticising him from the start. It will be, "The crazy orange man has gone and now America is back", and everyone will sigh and continue as if nothing has happened. Don't forget, as much as the world might hate Trump and everything he is doing, they do still need the US, or rather the US's money. If they didn't, no one would be paying him the slightest bit of attention.

I think this must be more about perception. Given the fact that Thailand has made the visa process easier to attract more tourists, this doesn't gel with the idea of trying to keep out any particular type of tourist. Possibly the IOs have started to grill people a little more to compensate for something.

Possibly, but why should that mean that someone who can afford to travel to a place and holiday there for a while no longer do so? Who said anything about sex-tourists? They still seem as welcome as ever. Is this a little wishful thinking on your part? I know some like to pretend that Thailand doesn't have prostitution anymore.

You have to employ "Trump-hater" logic. If Trump raises tariffs and it is perceived as harming the US economy, it is bad, because he is Trump. If Xi raises tariffs and it is perceived as harming the Chinese economy, it is good, because he is not Trump.

Their lives aren't miserable per se, they just have mental problems and think that moving to Thailand can solve them. Unfortunately, they tend to bring their problems with them and the novelty wears off after a while. Then, they generally have to troll other people in order to chase that feeling of specialness that they got when they first arrived. Many kind of have their self-esteem attached to their perception of Thailand. They view Thailand and Thai people as being superior, and they are then able to feel superior by extension through being in Thailand and claiming to be "more Thai" than other forefingers. In terms of behaviour, this means they end up hating other foreigners whilst claiming that all Thais are perfect. They'll even go as far as saying that if a foreigner does something negative, but a Thai does the same, the foreigner is bad for doing it, while it is fine for the Thai to do the same. Total delusion. The real kicker, is that they will claim to be happy, when their behaviour suggest the complete opposite.

It's not everyone, but it is very common, yes. Definitely the speeding, weaving, cutting in and suddenly breaking, then doing it again and again, just to get a couple of cars ahead. You see it on pretty much every journey.
