BYD Seal tips, tricks and help
Andrew Dwyer replied to macahoom's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Bit of a surprising occurrence today ! We now have a black female cat and her 4 kittens camped in our garden since they were born at the beginning of May. They are lovely little things and play happily for our amusement but now they have chosen to climb up inside the car near the front and will only come out when the mother calls them which usually takes around 5 or 10 minutes. Our daily routine has now become: I start the car and the kittens start to meow, the mother 🐈⬛ appears and we back away from the car until all 4 have descended and gone to a safe distance near the back of the house. Today I started the car but no sound from the kittens, the mother was spotted nearby but didn’t approach, I opened and closed a couple of doors, banged on the underneath but no sound from within. Started to back the car out slowly with the wife and kids looking underneath, the kittens mother looking on . Drove the car to the local mall, around 4 or 5 km away, stayed there for around 3 hours then drove home. As soon as i stopped the car outside the house gate 1 kitten descended and dashed into a neighbour’s garden. I pulled into the garden, the mother appeared and the remaining 3 started squeaking inside, descending one by one. We backed away from the car and the family reunited in one of their usual places near the back of the house ( the mother had to retrieve 1 from the neighbour’s garden ) as if nothing had happened. Now happily playing none the worse for wear after their “ outing “. IMG_4109.mov -

My BYD app has been updated to a new version 2.1.0 from 2.0.8 but I don’t see that anything has changed, certainly haven’t got the vehicle location update. EDIT: when charging the car the picture is now of a Seal ( before was an Atto 3 ) wonder if that was the version update ? -

That is the latest version but has been around for some months now so not exactly new. Mine is exactly the same ( except for IMEI and ICCID ). The new version ( 2403 ) is expected anytime soon and has been implemented on the Dolphin already, but could possibly have a different version number. -

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2024)
Andrew Dwyer replied to Rimmer's topic in Entertainment
Yup, a couple of other series split a season up into 2 halves ( Ozark was one i think ), most annoying if you don’t realise it is going to happen. -

That’s what I thought initially but it gives me a quote for the Premium model (2023 or 2024 model ) even if I swap the criteria around. -

Yes, the year, 2022 or 2023 makes a little difference but the NCB makes the most: 0% and idk are almost the same but 40% has the most effect My most likely scenario for an Atto 3 : Atto 3 ext range 2023 Yes to dash cam, 15k km, personal use, never for work, 0 claims, no finance, married, age 62, 6 years dl, 40% NCB, policy start later, 11,050 baht 9,681 baht for same as above but 2022. -

Big Thailand visa changes from June 1
Andrew Dwyer replied to snoop1130's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Only commenting on something that’s clearly mentioned in the OP “ In other visa-related changes, tourists aged 50 years and above seeking long-stay visas are now only required to have health insurance coverage of 440,000 baht, down from the previous 3 million baht. This reduction will be effective for long-stay applicants from September to December, according to Mr Chai.“ -

When he’s on another of B Smith’s fantasy topics giving him some grief , so he’s either a very quick learner with an excellent judge of character or he’s just winding us and Bob up , either way it is entertaining !!
