BYD Seal tips, tricks and help
Andrew Dwyer replied to macahoom's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
As usual with any new car nowadays there’s always someone trying to create a new accessory, often unnecessary. Here’s one I would file in the same folder as the, rear spoiler, kick sensor, soft close function for frunk, anti scratch inside film and auto sunshade for glass roof. fbsaver.mov -
I bought one of those super bright torches from a FB ad a few years ago, it is indeed very bright but the annoying thing is it takes a long press to turn on/off and a short press to scroll through the 4 brightness (including flashing) options. Everyone wants to briefly borrow it when they see its power but never understand how it operates. When the Tessabahn water truck guy was filling our water tank ( another equally exciting topic ) one evening I watched him scroll through the lights options 5 times before I eventually motioned him to give it back. For the OP, here’s a FB group you might be interested in: Eagle eyed posters might have noticed i have already joined !!

Yes, surprised no enterprising fella has designed a trash can or tissue box to clip on there. Looks like a nifty little idea, should have put one on the door pillar as a coat hook or a couple on the back of the seats for the bored teenagers to hang their iPads or dangle the bubble tea ! -

Back on topic ! Dolphin owners !! Who knew there’s a “ secret “ hook in the front passenger footwell ?? For up to 3 kg of your favourite sticky rice and pork satay perhaps ? Seems a strange location, wonder what the recommended use for this is ?? or does the Atto 3 and Seal have similar ?? -

While Sam’s videos are “ interesting “, here he is just stating the facts from the Autolifethailand website already posted here, sometimes he lets himself down: ” when I was in Thailand I saw 12 Atto 3’s in a row !! “ ……. did you ….. did you really Sam ?? -
Electric Vehicles in Thailand

The dealership being built now in downtown Ayutthaya appears to have a tiny plot adjacent to the gas station ( which is Esso but with a tiny Susco sign also ? ) and since the plot was prepared, almost a year now, I have always wondered why it is so small. The dealership I bought from, right on the border of Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani, has a small lounge and workshop, probably capable of 4 cars at any one time. The bulk of the dealerships here are on the frontage road next to the Asia Highway and probably premium prices, although BMW/Mini are constructing. Like you say, BYD have probably decided to flood the country with dealerships but not all are capable of any major repairs. -

My nearest BYD dealership is 18km , but another (5 km away) is due to be completed soon, when it was announced I contacted them on Line to enquire when it would be up and running “ end of April “ they told me……. April 2023 !! It’s in a strange location right in downtown Ayutthaya and attached to a Susco gas station as a few are in this area. -

Don’t see any price reduction for the bz4x . At 1.836 million baht I was also surprised to see it selling that many . https://stores.toyota.co.th/register/bz4x -
An interesting battle going on for 2nd place in the Championship at the moment, Leeds briefly hit 2nd spot but down to 3rd again and Ipswich have a game in hand so could well go back to 4th. I still have a lot of Leeds fans friends back home who are enjoying the action, if they were honest I think they would admit seeing them play well in the Championship is more rewarding than seeing them struggle in the Premier, but they would never admit that !!

Small booster pump to solve poor muni water pressure
Andrew Dwyer replied to Bassosa's topic in DIY Forum
We have had a similar situation for the past 8 months, had around 6 or 7 visits from the Tessabahn water truck to fill our 2 x 750 ltr tanks. The water pressure was so p1ss poor that it couldn’t get up to anything above waist height. My next door neighbour bought a small pump put it in one of those plastic storage boxes then pumped up into his tank ( approx 2 meters ). We managed to control our usage by showering from a “ dustbin “ in each toilet ( although the entrance to each toilet is above the height of the water tanks we could siphon water in daily ), washing clothes and watering the garden using the poor city water pressure. Thankfully whatever was causing the drastic drop in pressure for 8 months, we never got a satisfactory answer, has been resolved and we are back to normal, although heavy usage on a weekend still causing a drop in pressure. -

The price will determine the fate of this “ hotter “ hatch , if they had released this shortly after the MG4 it would have done well, now I am not so sure. Do like the green colour though. -

I took a journey on New Year’s Day returning the day after, mainly highway. “Going “, at speeds around 100-120 the 205 km took 250 km off my range. “Returning”, hit stop go heavy traffic the 205 km took 189 km off my range. -

Mine is around 650-667 km ( Premium high regen eco mode ) with the majority being short trips near to home and the occasional 450 km round trip. I have noticed that after charging to 100% the range drops about 3 or 4 km immediately ( 20 seconds or so ) after starting for the first time. -
