Wondering if you had seen this Owl or know the guy ? Ban Dung , presumably the one you mention occasionally ? I didn’t read it as this sort of topic usually attracts a great load of tripe comments !

I started using the Brave Browser on iPad and iPhone because of this annoying video. Cleared it immediately, still get the occasional pop up reminder about the newsletter ( despite having subscribed ) but the bottom right hand video annoyance is a thing of the past !!

On my previous trip they also requested a utility bill for the address on my U.K. license ,which I didn’t possess. I managed to wriggle out of this lack of documentation before producing my 5 year Thai license which I was worried might have complicated matters. So next time, around Aug time, i will forget the U.K. license rigmarole and go with the Thai license.

You may be surprised at the prices now for U.K. car rental, seems like there has been an almighty increase. Seems like picking up the car from the airport is a premium price, I shopped around last August and found a car rental place ( also Europcar ) in a city location. Meant I had to travel from the airport downtown but cut my rental bill from £1,436 to £747, this still a lot more expensive than my previous trip 3 years earlier ( pickup at airport ).

My Makro has the Horeca Cheddar, 2 kg for 659 baht, as stated earlier it is a bit bland but I cut it into 8 and freeze it and it seems to bring the taste out .

Electric Vehicles in Thailand

I wonder if that’s the reason that Thailand only get 2 LFP versions of MG4 , while in the U.K. they get 2 NMC versions and only 1 LFP ?? -

Why are Thais unemotional at funerals?
Andrew Dwyer replied to RamenRaven's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Not my experience at all . Will admit when my gf’s grandmother died aged 100 few tears were shed and the funeral was more a celebration of her, long , life. But, when my gf’s sister died suddenly and unexpectedly ,aged 53, there were plenty of tears from the mother, remaining 9 siblings, children, grandchildren and close friends . All in all very similar to reactions seen in the west.- 52 replies

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Andrew Dwyer replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Well the Honda HR-V EV seems like a very good price , roughly a 100k cheaper than the HEV ? But according to this report from: autolifethailand.tv the price in Thailand might be more . -

You are correct, i use an iPhone and although I had installed Brave browser i hadn’t tried the forum on it until now. 20 minutes without the pop up newsletter or right hand bottom corner video annoyances. Happy ????

Agree, i too am grateful to be able to use this forum for free , and all the laughs, information and anger that goes with it ????. The static ads are accepted as we all realise how the forum works but the pop up ads are detrimental to the function of the forum, can the owner not see that ??, and surely are making posters spend less time here, I know i am. We are reminded occasionally not to use an Adblocker on the forum to gain revenue but that request has become an empty vessel as the forum becomes more and more unusable.

John Cleese - Basil Fawlty set to RETURN !
Andrew Dwyer replied to Social Media's topic in Entertainment
In a similar vein Roger Waters is releasing his version of Dark Side of the Moon . Imho both events are going to struggle to attract the approval that the originals received 50 years ago. The world is a different place nowadays. -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand

So, another Bjørn test on the MG4, this time a range test . A mixed bag , thumbs up for the suspension and wind noise, thumbs down for the sound system, adaptive cruise control reactions and some questionable inboard range figures ( another dig at Chinese software ). This time he does throw in a couple of Tesla comments though ! Range appears to come in at 330 km at a steady 90 kph on the highway and down to 226 km when up the speed to 120 kph, a long way from the 425 km range (NEDC) quoted by MG, of course with a mixture of highway and city driving 350 km should be possible thanks to regen and some careful driving. All in all, this is still, imho, a great little car at a great price, the driving experience has to be the best in its class, again imho ????.
