Prayut Warns Pheu Thai Might ‘Slide Off Course’
Jumbo1968 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I hope they do and introduce strict controls so cannabis actually only is to be used for medicinal purpose as it was initially not a free for all that every man and his sell on the open market. Thailand is already infamous for a few things let’s not add making cannabis freely available. -

Why is it difficult to add new flights at Suvarnabhumi?
Jumbo1968 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Like many airports in the world, ground staff were laid off during Covid, they have now found more suitable employment and won’t return. Speaking to the staff on a KLM flight that was the problem at Schipol and has led to flight changes and cancellations. As long as the situation remains the same irrespective of the oil price the cost of flights won’t be reducing in the near future. -
I fink they are plenty of girls available on the net and much better looking than taking a girl from a bar paying exorbitant prices for their drinks and bar fines, the 2 week tourist might do.

Chuwit right in the face of "marijuana mad" BJT as they rally in Bangkok
Jumbo1968 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
It was an ill thought out decision, make it illegal again, there are enough problems with one legal drug alcohol. No one knows the long term side effects of continued use of cannabis but we do with alcohol. -

No where but it needs to be regulated, it was legalised for medical purposes but now it’s a free for all. Yes the Thai government is known for flip flopping so anything could happen after the next election. If one of the major companies in Thailand was behind all the shops selling cannabis money might talk but they are all independent. The tobacco companies who are opposing E-cigarettes could also do the same with cannabis because currently it’s sold tax free. -

The Senate was elected by the current government mostly army personnel, whilst not up to date the constitution was changed to allow this, can the Senate block any new legislation ? Ruling parties fill the upper house with their own people like the House of Lords in the U.K. that’s why Labour would like it abolished because like Thailand the personnel are appointed not elected. -

Would it not have been cheaper to instal a back up generator instead of solar panels, you don’t how long the power will be for and with a decent size generator it should be sufficient to power everything indefinitely ? -

Obviously your understanding of grammar isn’t very good ‘we’ is a plural if it was me I would have said ‘I’, when I say ‘we’ I am referring to Thailand. My issues with cannabis is the way it was removed from the narcotics list with out any discussion, it was an individual trying to make himself popular pre election. You don’t know me so why do you think I am not a bit more travelled and worldly wise than the average back packer ? Looking at the time your post was written you had just come back from the bar, maybe you should wait to you sober up before writing a post which makes more sense instead of trolling me, -

We have enough issues with alcohol but at least it’s regulated, Cannabis should be put back on the narcotics list until it’s regulated, currently it’s a free for all. Also Back Packers who use Cannabis in Thailand need to realise that other countries they might be visiting have cannabis on the narcotics list. If they are in Bali say and have a test and it’s positive, they will be locked up. -

But the train could be derailed as the opposition who are odds on to win the election oppose the Cannabis Bill in its present form.Whilst they don’t have a problem with using Cannabis for health issues they are opposed to the current free for all.- 30 replies
