How many deaths do you think there would have been if no measures had been put in place from the start last year?
50??
perhaps you could tell us the true number if no measures had been in place ?
Or are you going to guess, just like everyone else, ?
Still more chance of dying going to the shops than from the virus !

Of course there have been death of an inmate, don't you bother to read the reports ? What's this testing thing you are imagining as a routine action ? Also if you read the reports you will see that the prison authorities declared it was almost impossible to adopt preventive measures inside prisons. You really need to catch up a bit.
any numbers on the prison deaths from the Covid , compared to the annual average deaths of inmates ?

ahh, so your saying that orison i=officers and health workers are allowed to leave the prison and go home, shopping etc, without any testing ?
Im trying to catch up with all the <deleted>, but it just keeps getting deeper

So you think the wardens, health workers that come into contact with the prisoners remain permanently in side the prison also ?
so you think they just wander around without PPE , then go outside and with their families , given the infections ?
Are they not tested , like hospital staff, then made to wear PPE ?
Any numbers of inmates that have died from Covid yet ?

The prison infections were/are a disaster waiting to happen given the overcrowding, a blind man could see that.
The miracle is that things are not a lot worse.
how are they a disaster for the general public ?
prisoners, maybe
If they keep them inside the prison, with no visitors, then no problem for the public
lots of infections, but how many prisoners are dying of Covid ?
Im sure if you tested for other things, aids, flu, etc, you would get many positive tests but not corresponding deaths

Obviously I missed the part about only using it on the farm and I also misunderstood
thinking that the ATV would be carried on the trailer not that the ATV would be pulling the trailer..???? an early morning "brain fart" ????
no worries
thanks anyway

No doubt the results will come back as others have, he died of a heart attack which could or would have happened anyway, there was no causation showing that the vaccine was the cause.
Swept under carpet, and people will believe it, so everybody keep getting vaxed, no need to worry, of the 30 people that have been noted of dying after a particular vaccine, name withheld, there was no causation, and 6 million people also had the vaccination and all survived, so the benefits out way the risks of getting Covid.
Move along, nothing more to see here, vaccinations are coming to a place near you real soon.
which is great, unless you happen to be one of those that dies , which in Thailand is almost as risky as getting the virus

Another option would be modifying one of those 2 wheel hand carts that farmers use as motorbike trailers.
I've seen some heavy loads in them.
They cost around 2k baht with motorbike wheels or cheaper with bicycle wheels.
just been looking at them this morning, working out the best way to fit an A frame to it and still be strong , but definitely lose the street cred with one of those on the back of a nice big quad bike . Maybe worth the extra money for a better trailer !!!!!

This place is in Samut Prakam
Thanks, but these are more car trailers, rather than for a ATV

You beat me to it ,get a locale guy to do it ,built to your spec, and if you do have any problems with it ,he can soon sort it out.
Where I live I can think of at least 2 people that could build a small trailer ,just ask around .
One is our local agriculture engineer ,one other is our local motorbike trailer/motorbike sidecar builder, they could build one for you .
Thanks kickstart
asked at 2 of the local sidecar shops, one said, no can do, the other wanted silly money ,
Not sure about agriculture engineer, asked at a shop selling farm trailers, but too big, and he say no for a smaller one
Will keep looking, but much cheaper from China

You might try this company from Thailand. I passed their building everyday when I used to drive to work.
It's next to Motorway 7 BKK-Chonburi.
http://www.upbeat.co.th/new/index.php
I have no personal experience about ordering larger items from Alibaba but I would be very cautious.
Maybe you can find a local shop that can built your trailer.
thanks for the reply CLW
The company you show only does the larger car based trailers, i need a smaller mesh sided trailer for work on the farm, pulled by a ATV quad bike
Asked a couple of local shops, some who make the motorbike trailers, but either , not do, or silly money
Not sure what problems will occur when ordering from Alibaba, they come flat packed, for self assembly, but concerened more about the customs here,
Was asking on here before i talk to the chinese companies, maybe they can include the correct paperwork and any customs charges ?
Thanks again

Hi there
have an ATV and looking for a small trailer to tow behind it
Seen a couple on Alibaba and wondering what they are like for shipping, payments, and more importantly, customs clearance in Thailand
Have seen a few here in Thailand, but seem to be very expensive compared to Alibaba
Would welcome any advice from anyone who has used Alibaba before
Thanks

This needs more than 2 weeks now, I think 4 weeks would be minimum in Bangkok. New peak today despite the predictions of some that this was all over, very sad situation
1 hour ago, smedly said:maybe they just locked them in and threw away the key dropping food parcels over the wall, not much point in testing them since they are likely all infected - no test no data

why not, they are already isolated, i hope. keep them inside . But not seen any numbers of prisoners dying from Covid yet

Whats your point ?
Those that die in a vehicle accident or through any other manner receive an early grave (or cremation) and nothing else.
OR... are you implying that because the Thai authorities are attempting to offer a degree of confidence in the vaccines that the vaccines now present a higher risk of death ???... or something else ?
but we are constantly told the vaccines are safe and fully tested, so why the need for this ?
bribery for hesitant Thais ?

Building costs are about 10k a sq/m.
For 200k you would be lucky to get 1 bedroom with a bathroom and balcony.
Anyone who has built with village labour knows it's problems.
At least with a knockdown house you will get a quick result of reasonable quality.
glad i don't live near you
i built a couple of small units for the sisters to stay, 1 around 6x6 m and the other 5x3
the small one comprises one room and a shower,. toilet room Cost approx 30,00 baht
larger one, small lounge, bed and separate shower toilet room, including air con, concrete waste tanks, tiles floors, decorating, windows and fans was less than 60,00 baht
Both built by myself, but a local builder could build in a few weeks without any problems, and low labour rates, maybe an extra 20,000 baht labour ?
Small one was built on concrete pad, with steel frame and roof, with block walls rendered
larger one was built on pad with concrete posts and rendered block walls

I’m glad to see he’s doing the best he can to keep the people in Thailand safe. So far for the last 16 months he’s done an excellent job Many countries would love to have such a low death rate. Good job Sir
but you've got to agree, whatever he has, or has not done, the low death rate is impressive

6 minutes ago, Sheryl said:The app is only registering the over 60's and those with chronic disease this month. The target group is estimated at about 11 million so would need to get a little over 7 million vaccinated from that group. Some people have registered in person rather than by app.
This is actually a higher rate of registration than I had expected...though the over 60's, in any country, tend to be pretty motivated (and less likely to be reading scare stories on social media).
Will open up for all ages registration starting 1 June
seems to be a lot of over 60s on here reading scare stories !!
What's the death rate, 1.3 deaths a day since Jan 2020
how many road deaths, suicides, flu, cancer etc per day ?
Which is the most danger to people in Thailand ?

Thailand is still very much a cash society especially outside the big cities, you hardly ever see anyone paying by card and occasionally at BigC I have seen it but they are usually visitors from Bangkok here to see family.
i often pay by debit card in the big sheds, and places like Tesco, but use the QR scanner when Im in Makro
Pay all of my household bills online using the banking app
so has greatly reduced my need to go to the ATM machine now

So far so good though
still only around 1 covid death a day in the 17 months since this "deadly" pandemic started
Wonder what happened to the many thousands that posters on here predicted would occur a few weeks after Songkran ?
Wonder how many flu deaths, heart attacks, road deaths, and suicides, each day since this all started. more than 1 ??
Ahh well, i suppose we can still keep saying, If, maybe, Possible, Could, cant we ?

Thailand reports 2,455 COVID-19 cases, 41 more deaths
in Thailand News

ahh, the models !!
I thought these "models" predicted thousands of deaths in Thailand, or were the posters on here wrong again ?
No worries going to shops, and without a mask, no infections where i live, no deaths from the covid, and nobody knows anybody who has either. Seems to quite a few who have died or hospitalized from the flu and pneumonia virus though
